In 2002, Paul Ryan argued in favor of a stimulus - deficit government spending to create jobs. Is he a hypocrite?

Suddenly, the new fiscal hawk Paul Ryan once happily rubber stamped every folly GWB pushed through... Stimulis # 1, Medicare Part D, the two wars, Patriot Act etc. Ryan claims to be worried about debt but supported every single one of GWB's deficit ballooning programs. Say one thing, do another . Same old story.

Ryan is a joke. With all his complaining about a dangerous spending level, he helped to create that dangerous spending. He was a key player. Now he suddenly wants to turn it around?

I can see how a case could be made for this...His 2002 speech is certainly not what we heard from him yesterday 8/21/12. Having said that, my own spending history has changed radically from when I was fully employed in 2002, to currently--Retired, spending way less now.

And in 2009 Ryan asked for millions of dollars of the stimulus, even as he complained about it. Then he denied he ever asked for stimulus money.

Romney and Ryan are both hypocrites. They complain about deficits, but they don't really care about deficits. According to the Tax Policy Center, Romney's plan would increase the federal deficit by $600 billion in 2015.
