Impossible for USA to win Hearts and Minds of Afghans?

It is ,and we should pull out of that god forsaken place now. We've got binladen ,taken al quaida out of the picture ,and are now trying to get a country of mostly illiterate ,mulla poisoned fools to live like we do ,which is impossible to do. We don't fully understand these savages ,and it shows from the start .There's too many ifs ,and there's no pacifying anyone there ,and corruption is holding all our processes up. No ,it's time to pull the plug ,and come back here ,and work on building this nation.

I was in the military, and was always reminded that that fact made me a representitive of my country ,and as being that ,we were to be held to high standards of fighting ,treatment of pow's ,and dead enemy bodies. It's always good to remember that when you get taken prisoner .Personally, I told myself nobodt would take me alive .No ,these people are savages, most of the country is illiterate except for the twisted teaching of mullahs, and their treatment to their women. We're in a part of the world we have no conception of their beliefs ,and it shows .They are savages ,but so are the urinaters ,and I find that shameful.They would like to see us gone, and I believe it would be better for all if we did.

I wouldn't say impossible -- but what we're doing isn't working and won't.

I think we need to differentiate between "Afghans," the people, and the Taliban. We'll NEVER win the Taliban over; they despise us and what we stand for to them. And as long as we kill and maim civilians, we won't be getting a whole lot of love from the ordinary Afghan either.

I don't think you realize just how religious the Afghan people are. They also have a long history of being hostile and mistrusting of outsiders.

And the very minute we leave, they will go back to what they were doing before we came. What was that, that they did? beating their women and punking little boys

Not one more American life sacrified for this hopeless cause. These people are Muslim. They are not like us. They are never going to be. Bring them home already.

Yes, I say love them and respect their religion don't hate theme. If you wants respect
and love from someone than you must give him respect and love and don't hate his
religion if you wants people do respect your religion.

But we have brainwashed our servicemen to hate them. They don't even see them as human. Did you watch the videos?

I don't watch the videos, but I know the truth that 80% Americans/western people think that Islam is a bad religion and every Muslim is a terrorist, uneducated, ill-literate and they are not human as we are on top in every
aspects of life. This is a general perception of American and European peoples towards Muslims/Arabians/Afghani/Pale... This
is a wrong perception and root cause of real problem. Please do use
