Impeach Obama Campaign

"The White House announced that Barack Obama wasn'’t watching the election returns tonight. Maybe this is because Rahm Emanuel and the sycophants that surround him don’t have the courage to tell him his leftist agenda is unpopular. Government run Health care is unpopular. Huge new energy taxes are unpopular. His dithering in Afghanistan is unpopular. His bailouts and America’s rampant joblessness is unpopular.

I am watching the election returns, and I have to admit that I feel some limited relief. This is a sign that Americans have returned to their good senses. The election of Bob McDonnellas Governor of Virginia and Chris Christieas Governor of New Jersey should be a wakeup call to Washington.

Americans are tired of the big government solution to our problems. Americans don’t want entitlements, they want a job. Americans don’t want a hand out, they want self respect. Barack Obama should be watching the election returns. If he was smart he would learn from tonight and take America down a less radical path.

But we know he won’t do the right thing because he is a committed radical, and he is executing a plan he hopes will be the end of traditional America. He wants to replace America with a socialist utopia dreamed up by a worthless philosopher with the name of Karl Marx.

Our best hope is that the congressional Democrats that are elected in districts which John McCain and George W. Bush carried will hear the message. We need their votes to defeat the Obama/Pelosi/Reid big government agenda.

Don’t Stop Now

Our impeachment campaign received a tremendous boost tonight because of these elections. For us to be successful in removing this illegitimate president, the US Congress must change. All of our energy for the next year has to be targeted at getting more conservatives elected to the US Congress.

If you have not yet posted a link to our petition on your blog or website or shared it with your friends on Facebook, I suggest the aftermath of this exciting election victory is a good time to share it. If we see major changes in Congress during 2010 the impeachment campaign will succeed.

Currently 70,000 Americans have joined our cause. When we have 30,000 more I will begin approaching members of Congress to introduce the Articles of Impeachment.

Here is the link to share with others: https://fs7.formsite.com/C4Strategies/form272402400/secure_in...

Media coverage of our impeachment campaign remains brisk. I have been on three to five radio shows every day this last week. One of my favorites is CPNLive.com with Stan Solomon, and you can listen to it anytime at your convenience. Coming up on November 11th we will have an hour long special about impeachment airing on CPNLive.com, and I hope you will join us.

Finally, the push to defeat Obamacare is critical this week. Nancy Pelosi has said that she doesn't care how many Democrat seats are lost, she wants the bill passed. The Wall Street Journal put it all in perspective when they wrote this week:

“The health bill she unwrapped last Thursday, which President Obama hailed as a 'critical milestone,' may well be the worst piece of post-New Deal legislation ever introduced.

In a rational political world, this 1,990-page runaway train would have been derailed months ago. With spending and debt already at record peacetime levels, the bill creates a new and probably unrepealable middle-class entitlement that is designed to expand over time. Taxes will need to rise precipitously, even as ObamaCare so dramatically expands government control of health care that eventually all medicine will be rationed via politics.”

If this bill passes it may be as they say “unrepealable” and it will lead to sub standard health care for all Americans over time. Obama cannot be allowed to destroy the best health care system in the world on the altar of utopian socialism. Please make your voice heard loud and clear in the next few days to your local Congressman.

We won tonight, and we can win this next battle over Obamacare."

Warm regards,
Floyd Brown

    {Government run Health care is unpopular.}

    See, this is a statement of fact. Statements of fact can be checked and verified or disproven. Gallop says that most Americans have believed that it is government's role to ensure everyone is covered by health insurance for over 5 years.

    http://www.gallup.com/poll/11...

    {illegitimate president}

    Another statement of fact. You've really got to stop making these. Obama fullsills all criteria to become president, beating his opponent by some 8 million votes.

    {With spending and debt already at record peacetime levels}

    That's cheating. Either Bush was not a wartime president or we are at war. And if we are at war, then we do not even approach record debt- we are currently in debt to the tune of 61% of GDP, as opposed to the debt in 1946 of over 100%.

    {all medicine will be rationed via politics.” }

    Which is to say triage rather than profit.

    {the best health care system in the world}

    Not a statement of fact, but still wrong. Obama does not seek to reform health CARE which will remain the purview of private industry. Obama wants to reform the US health INSURANCE system, which rations out some 47 million Americans, killing thousands of them, providing the worst results in the developed world and for twice the per capita cost of any oth...

    If he does, you can. If he, for instance, launches an illegal war on somebody, illegally tortures some guy or perhaps taps his phone without a warrant, get in line.

    Not if he injected $50 billion into a failed corporate model. I'd rather be fired than further destroy the enterprise - it's about the product, the employees, and the share holders - not the board of directors or the management that destroyed the corporation.

    BTW - Rick Wagner "retired", and walked away with package worth between $10-$20 million.

    He was asked by the white house to leave.....and recieved his retirement...which is up for review...

    Obama did inject money,even after replacing Wagner, then they closed Pontiac, then they closed Saturn, then they closed the doors on 1200 dealerships.....So is this his plan? To lay off thousands of workers,,,and raise unemployment ??

    The product is just fine, its peoples perception of the product, drive a Tahoe and compare it to any other competitor. Drive a Acadia, compare to anything else in the world,for that price.

    All the things you mention were part of the GM bankruptcy plan approved by the courts to get the corporation out of bankruptcy.

    The only thing that could have been done differently was to let the corporation go into bankruptcy without government intervention, which would have been much worse for the employees, investors, the company, and the economy....

    What must be done now is regulations to prevent another "to big to fail" systemic failure forcing us to engage in corporate socialism.

    Corporations should have never been given the right of personage!

    Hmm...you missed one small point....GM DID go into bankruptcy, which would protect it from debtors...so basically the money the gov put in was for nothing, as debts were erased..
    As far as shareholders...they got nothing...employees they would continue to work...

    The money put in by the government was before and in support of bankruptcy/restructuring. I presume there was money to pay creditors.

    "The Obama administration had given $19.4 billion to GM to try and keep it out of bankruptcy. It also gave GM another $30 billion to keep the company running during the Chapter 11 process."

    "On April 22, 2009, General Motors Corporation was granted $2 billion from Treasury for the purposes of "Debt Obligation" On June 3, the $30 billion payment was made, again for "Debt Obligation."

    "Holders of $27 billion in GM (GMGMQ) bonds get stock in the reorganized company, as will a union-controlled trust fund that will take stock rather than the $20 billion in cash it had been owed to pay future retiree health care costs. Those 650,000 retirees will have their coverage reduced. "

    All in all, a very complicated end and rebirth of an American icon....
