If the shooters are on pills that say things like "may cause thoughts of severe violence" or "homicidal ideation" maybe we should look at them closer than the weapons which bear no warnings of the sort.
I live in San Antonio, Texas. Same week of Sandy Hook, right down the road, there was a guy that shot his girlfriend in a restaurant then as the customers fled next door, he entered the theater they fled to where he was quickly gunned down by a Bexar County Sheriff. Just didn't have the body count to make the news.
Shortly thereafter; as I understand it as the details are still emerging. My sister goes to school in Houston and lives right across the road from the HP campus. On the side of the HP campus that now houses the NHMCCD college there, a fight between two men broke out and shots were fired. It was a school shooting so the news was all over it, but then they dropped it like it was hot. As it turned out one of the men was being baited into a fight and kept refusing, but once presented with a weapon from the other student, brandished a firearm and shot the other ...

The news has not covered it well since the day of the shooting.
Don't give up your rights people. You yourself may not be able to handle a live fire situation, but there are many of us who have served our country, and many others willing to not only lay down our own lives in defense of others, but to draw that fire should others need a chance to escape.
To disarm all people willing to obey the disarmament laws, would be to ensure only those willing to disobey laws are armed.
