If you've been shopping for Christmas presents online, are you worried they wouldn't get to you in time?

I'm worried some of my presents will be late. . . . and then what?

Thanks for all your suggestions. I may not be able to use them this Christmas but will definitely use them next year. ;-Dreply - SparkleyPie 2007/12/09 19:54:07I shop online - no worries.+1I've been shopping online since I've had online and never had a problem. I don't shop with the smaller companies though. Just the big ones. I should just sign my checks over to Amazon this time of year.reply

Thanks B4RealMe. I always check for security also. Better safe than sorry. Most everything I ordered was through Amazon. I'll keep my fingers crossed.reply - B4Real2Me YankeeInMS 2007/12/09 18:53:07
+1Oh, Amazon.com is great. Not to worry when dealing with them, I've been known to wait until the last minute when shopping with them and they have NEVER failed me in getting my stuff to their destination on time.reply -
Thanks for your vote of confidence. I need it.reply - B4Real2Me YankeeInMS 2007/12/09 18:59:37
+1Have you tracked your packages? Amazon normally give you tracking info. But not to worry, Amazon is one of the BEST website to order from.reply -
I have tracked them. The problem is the est. date of delivery has changed and it will be cutting it close. My son and grandkids will be coming this weekend so I don't have that much time left. I'll may be wrapping packages after they get here.reply - B4Real2Me YankeeInMS 2007/12/09 19:17:48
+1Oh I'm famous in going to the bathroom and having to my wrap my Husband's gift in there because he's worse than any curious child. Think positive and you'll see... your gifts will arrive THIS week!!!reply -
From your lips to Gods ears. Thanks.reply - Gramma Lil 2007/12/09 16:52:12I don't shop online so I don't have to worry+1I go shopping for all my gifts to others. I also give gift cards for those that are hard to buy for.reply

+1I would love to give everyone gift cards, but the grandkids are still young, one 4 years old and two 6 year olds. They still like to open presents. If they were teenagers they would rather have money or gift cards.reply - Gramma Lil YankeeInMS 2007/12/09 17:00:16
+1I've got a few young ones myself that like to open presents. But I got quite a few that like to shop and buy their own gifts.reply - Daisy 2007/12/09 14:03:39 (edited)I shop online - no worries.+3If you can afford the extra shipping expense, you can usually have them shipped either Next Day Air, or 2nd Day Air, and they will be out on your front porch the next day or the day after.

+1Thanks. This year I thought I ordered everything in plenty of time and chose ground. All of the merchandise was in stock and would normally be delivered in 7-10 days. Then they notified me some items hadn't shipped yet. I may be running out to the stores last minute. I hate that.reply - Daisy YankeeInMS 2007/12/09 14:47:24

+1Thanks.reply - RedTN 2007/12/09 14:00:24None of the above+1I shop online and I have never had a problem but I am worried that I will not get everything in time this yearreply

+1I hope we both get everyting we ordered in time. I don't know which is worse, waiting for the delivery and praying it will be on time, or going to the mall with thousands of other shoppers and worrying some crazy will come in with guns blasting.reply - RedTN YankeeInMS 2007/12/09 23:34:52
+1I look at the guns blasting this way. In their own way they are terrorist if you let them control your everyday life. I don't worry about going to the mall and being blown away because 1) I know where I'm going when I die and 2) if it happens that way then it was my time to die. You can't live your life in fear of what migh happen.reply -
I agree with you 100%. There are several reasons I don't go to the mall. When God was giving out the female shopping gene, I somehow missed the line. I hate to shop and always have. It gives me a migraine. The other thing is I'm pretty much home bound taking care of my mother. She has advanced Alzheimer's and we're pretty much joined at the hip. My excursions usually consists of a mad dash to Wal-Mart's for groceries. I'm very happy I can go online to shop, it's a big help.reply
