That is a whole lot of reading and a bunch of paying attention. I did and yet I wonder how much of it is true by the comments here I see I'm not the only one.

one needs to pay attention and keep a watchful eye.. I dont know how much it affects the conveyor.. but know it will .. I also know over time.. it will self correct.. the question is what types of damage will it cause climatically if any..

This planet has been constantly changing. It hasn't happened so quickly during the last 3000 years but evidence shows that the earth has had shifting platelets, volcanic eruptions, tidal waves, earthquakes that have completely rearranged the globe. I can only say that I hope everyone is wise to politicians trying to capitalize on natural phenomena and hit the taxpayers hard.

It's now time for Al Gore to change jackets and hats and go for the coming Ice Age so he can make ever more money from the fear of fools.

This isn't new. The earth is constantly changing and will continue to do so. That includes things like the currents we have come to take for granted and the climate. What needs to be addressed is the change brought on by global corporations, the WTO and all the others raping our planet for profit with their short sightedness. Sooner or later, we will all pay the price.

What a crock. Just a bunch of scare mongers trying to get attention. A couple million gallons of dispersant in an ocean holding quintillions of gallons.... yeah, that'll have an effect! A couple million gallons of dispersant gets dumped into the planet's water system on a daily basis - it's called laundry detergent!

The recent earthquake activity, e.g., New Zealand, has altered the tectonic plates approximately 4 feet. The ring of fire in the Pacific has also been more active (recent large earthquakes in Mexico and California).

In Alaska, several volcanoes under the glaciers have warmed up the water due to increased volcanic activity, thus allowing the ice flows to melt at a more rapid rate because of the increased water temperature.

The oil influence from the BP spill may have additional influence. However, to see its full impact we must look at earlier gulf stream data.

Yeah, really? An oil spill that amounts to little more than a drop of watter in context to the oceans worldwide changed the loop currents? Is this going to lead to more glowbull warming or global cooling? Should I stop driving my SUV immediately or should I buy another one, made by the government this time? Quick, call Al Gore and and send him billions of dollars to save us.

It is not the oil spill it is the change in the thermocline.. turn off the change in water temp and it will take a year or two to resettle if we are so lucky

Al gore has already saved himself.. am sure he has his bunker ready for a couple of year stay..
