If we know both parties are corrupt why can't we elect someone with no political background?

The two party systen must go.

Anyone who is honest is better. No matter what their background. The two old line parties never deserve another vote. They have off-shored and plundered the economy. Anybody that is a party to Lobbying should be charged with treason.

I hate to be the one throwing cold water, but just wanting a political novice in place of an experienced politician isn't going to make things right. Of course there are some exceptional people that could pull it off, but there are talented politicians out there that are doing the best they can.

Politicians are corrupted because the election system is corrupt. Entrenched interists dump billions of dollars into political campaigns to make anybody that works against them appear incompetent and corrupt. The politician becomes corrupt when that politician understands that he/she cannot win.

The source of the corruption is not the politicians. It's the money.

But no one there is changing anything are they? They are going along with party lines not the peoples. If they are not working for US then WE need to kick them out do somthing different.

Wouldn't take them long to assimilate that new person . Need to boot them all out .

Because people with no political background usually want nothing to do with politics, therefore do not run for office.

Because most people are sheep.

America can't because of herdism tendencies.

Because money controls the media, and the electoral process. 3rd party candidates get lost in a hopeless battle of wealth
