If There Is A Hell, Will Most Conservative Christians Be Spending Eternity There ?
If There Is A Hell, Will Most Conservative Christians Be Spending Eternity There ?
Have you met any Conservative Christians that have even read let alone live by these laws:
Luke 6:37 "Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
Luke 6:41 "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
John 8:7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."
Romans 2:1 You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.
Romans 14:10 You, then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you look down on your brother? For we will all stand before God's judgment seat.
Romans 14:13 Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way.
1 Corinthians 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men's hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God.
James 4:11 Brothers, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it.

Yes, Most Conservative Christians Would Go To Hell.+14Myself, I don't believe in Hell, but when I hear the ones that consider themselves the "chosen ones" spew hatred of good people, and deny and even play games with man's irresponsible destruction of Earth and it's life-sustainability, I do confess to reminding them of the Hell they so often threaten non-Christians with.

And in all these religions the lessons always boil down to the same clue, to secure yourself a good place in the afterlife was a direct result as to how you conducted yourself in this life. The measurements are all the same and the big measure was how you treated those less fortunate then you. Not just your family but the neighbor and the stranger, you are to treat them as you would want yourself treated.
So yeah by those measurements i would have to say yes.
Good thing jews don't believe in hell.
However, I DO believe many conservatives are saddening Jesus and setting a horrible example by being very cruel, judgmental, and hateful toward other people. Just today, I was bullied and verbally assaulted by some conservative Christians just because I am a libertarian and don't think the conservatives are right on absolutely every issue. The unkindness deeply disturbed me, not so much because it was directed at me, but just because these Christians are carrying so much hate. We are called to love one another. Not just those who agree with us politically.
The Bible says that if you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved
I have heard this time and time again and wonder every time why people don't see the problem in this
I can do anything i frikking like and as long as i make sure i " confess that Jesus.... bla bla" I will be saved. Now you might say that it isn't that easy (I agree) but millions of people actually believe it to be so. This is where those " conservative Christians" come from (actually I don't think it is a " conservative" problem but a Christian problem in general)
In your country I would be called a "Liberal" or even " socialist Christian", the smack talk I have gotten from so called " real Christians" is about the same as your example, I like to remind them about Matthew 25 (sheep and goat parable which for ME is the essence of my Christianity)
To me, political affiliation is generally irrelevant to spiritual condition (the only exception might be something like Nazism). I personally am a capitalist, but I don't think your political views make you any less of a Christian. The only difference is that I believe charity is best done through private organizations, churches, and individual donors rather than through the government. Matthew 25 is a great reminder to me to donate and volunteer myself, also. It's so easy to get complacent.
I'm not willing to be judgmental and consign "most" Conservative Christians to Hell, but I am willing to bet that the proportion of Conservative Christians in Hell will be an overrepresentation of their percentage of the population.
