If the "War on Terror" is truly over like the Obama Administration has said, why are there still warnings being issued and attacks being carried out?

When did Obama say the war on terror is over? I think at most they are probably not calling it a war because it is not. A war implies two different countries going at it while terrorism is largely an individual attack. Unfortunately he is still pursuing police actions which will not endear America to the rest of the world.

It was an imaginary threat by the G W Bush administration. Must remember that GW gave the Taliban 40+ million so they could not have thought that there was a threat now could they? You know if standard operating procedures were followed that day, perhaps there would have been no 9/11. But no the military was asleep at the job. Ever wondered why they were asleep? I mean we pay all this money for supposedly defense, and then when we were attacked, they did nothing. They followed a dead golfer half way across the country because he flew off course but they didn't do nothing when 3 planes deviated from their course.

But I will not consider every Muslim walking down the street a potential suicide bomber and I certainly will not discriminate against them. I certainly would not give fundamentalist religious groups of any kind big bucks. I know, 40 million is petty cash. But 40 million here and 40 million there, and lets build a new weapon system and you know what? It adds up to real money.
