If the Tea Party is not racist, then answer me this:

A.S.A.C. Hank Schrader 2012/08/22 07:31:40
We have had a Democratic President after Reagan, and before our current one, who openly campaigned on raising taxes on the wealthy, so why didn't the Tea Party come out of the woodwork in 1992, when Bill Clinton first got elected to the White House? I guess he was too white to be hated...

The tea party seemed to love Herman Cain. The left... not so much. There are fine lines between dislike born out of ideological differences, xenophobia (which is more about cultural differences than skin color) and racism (which is the belief in the superiority of one "race" over the other, not merely the dislike or fear of an ethnic group).

Btw, you could make the exact same point about the Occupy movement. Both the tea party and OWS sprung to life under Obama, and both have very similar concerns and grievances. One group protests against a corrupt, overspending government, the other against the corporate lobbyists and international gangbanksters who own America's corrupt politicians. If it wasn't for the media pitting one group against the other -- which is something that both the liberal and the conservative media participated in -- we might be looking at an American Spring right now.

    FACT.......
The Tea Party didn't start until 2007, that's 15 years after President Clinton.

You tried to make this an issue about race? Interesting.....................

The Tea Party formed when the Republican party was indistinguishable from democrats.

And just what is so funny about it? It's a serious question, and they don't have the balls to answer it, so they have to pretend that it is too laughable to answer...

If I was biased, I would be trying to bash Reagan and GW Bush in the same breath. Instead, I am trying to point out that we had another Democratic President before Obama that openly ran on raising taxes on the wealthy, and there wasn't a big Tea Party movement in response. Why not? The only thing that separates Obama from Clinton is their skin color, so why only in 2008 did the Tea Party decide to come out?

maybe you need to check 08 promises by the candidates...then look at the deficit...and then some of actions by O in office.... plus...congress seems to be out of control...
for me...this is what happen with the rise of all grassroot movements... voters are fed up..
    bark

The Tea Party first started to surge in popularity/membership in late 2008, before Obama officially took the White House. It's called "sore loser mentality", along with racism. The Republicans just couldn't understand why their guy could lose in 2008, when we had already endured 8 years of a Republican Presidency that deregulated the hell out of Wall Street and gave tax cuts to the wealthy, all while engaging in not one, but two wars. In order to play World Police, you need more in taxes, not less. Romney's plan for America is the same as Bush's plan for America.
