If the 'Occupy' movement was serious and not Soros funded as has been speculated, why would they not 'Occupy' The White House? Your thoughts please...

This was written Oct.25, 2011 by John Hawkins. These is much more to the article, but I found this explanation interesting.

" Obama is fighting against Wall Street! Like most slick politicians, Barack Obama is a master of deception and misdirection. On the one hand, he incessantly rails against the rich and Wall Street. On the other hand, he pals around with people like Warren Buffet and Jeffrey Immelt while he doles out hundreds of billions of dollars in tax dollars to corporations.

Yes, George W. Bush may have gotten TARP rolling, but people forget that Obama publicly supported the program while he was running in 2008 and expanded it when he became president. Wall Street really got its money’s worth out of Barack Obama, although he made sure it paid handsomely for the privilege.

Not only did “Wall Street (donate) twice as much money to Barack Obama’s presidential campaign in 2008 as it did to John McCain’s,” “Barack Obama has received more money from Wall Street than any other politician over the past 20 years, including former President George W. Bush.”

You think Wall Street is giving Barack Obama all that money for no reason? Come on, even if you were born at night, you’d need to have been born last night to believe that".

Want to know the difference between an OWS demonstration and a Ron Paul rally?

One less felon at the Ron Paul rally.

Here is the analysis and subsequent recommendations from the Founder of "we are the 99%". If the OWS people actually knew what it is they are milling around for, we would ALL be in D.C. Instead, they made it "we are the 47%"

And all it took was a few pushing reports from Fox and MSNBC to change into what we see today. Gotta love special interest spin, right?

I'm actually wondering who will be their next straw-men to keep the two movements apart, I say a Rapist, or a Murderer. Hell why not both, the media can give one to each. In fact why not share, they did it with Stormfront, who for some reason despite both movements being in "opposition" supports the Tea Party and Occupy.

But basically your right. OWS used Wall Street as a target because it's home to much of the special interest, and it would get the most attention, it was there suppose to spread, which it has. But the Occupy DC, despite being the same size or bigger depending on the day is basically ignored by media unless someone does something stupid.

well, I guess it is about time for "stupid'. I think some Liberal ought to light himself on fire to make a bold statement, a little sacrifice for the cause :)

I was thinking more in the lines of provoked "Police Brutality" by some "undercover cops dressed as protestors" or throw I intern from Fox or MSNBC dressed as Hitler into the crowd to invoke the power of mass Godwin's Law throughout mainstream media and internet. :P

They are in Washington DC sir, it's just that Occupy Washington isn't as branded as Occupy Wall St by Corporate Media.

Haven't heard a thing about DC being 'occupied.' The news sure isn't reporting it...as far as I have seen anyways.

Same reason OWS wasn't reported at all before they got a few Leftist Obamonite seeds into it, they need a spin factor. Basically all the fad chasers and "Give Me" crowd at OWS came from the fact that media took the non-partisan sequel to the Day of Rage, and proclaimed it (incorrectly I might add) as opposition to the Tea Party. When I know from the planning of it on Anon forums that basically a good chunk of planners were original Tea Party members from 07.

Basically it was a threat, so Corporate Media marginalized it, and like sheep people are, it got it's way for the most part. However it's starting to falter again, because unlike Occupy Wall St, DC is basically trying to hard set itself against influence and floating under the radar for now.
