If Obama were a private-sector CEO with a similar 3-year track record, would he have been fired by now?

The company would have never put up with him blaming the past CEO for his bad performance and fired him 2 years ago.

if the USA was a publicly traded company it's stock would be in the toilet, and Obama would have to stand before the stockholders without a teleprompter and explain why and what he's going to do about it.

Look at all those wall street guys, bankers and corporations where they got paid bonuses by you and me. They did not do a good job. They did not earn those bonuses. They still have jobs. Obama probably would too.

I think he would have been fired long before 3+ years. More like 2 or 2.5.

Without a doubt; of course there would have to be a company left for the firing to take place.

I only say no because lately CEO's of his accomplishments get a bail out AND a lucrative bonus.

Given the total extent of his expertise in organizing protests and handing out leaflets, it's doubtful he could have even been hired to work in a mail room let alone the executive suite.

He would have been given a raise. Stock market has basically risen from under 7000 tp over 13000. Country is in far better shape than when he inherited it. If the republicans didn't say no all the time, we would be in better shape.

    >>>Country is in far better shape than when he inherited it.<<<

He didn't "inherit" anything. He CHOSE to take this job.

And no, the country is NOT in "far better shape." Unemployment is higher now than when he took over.

Only a liberal can conclude that a HIGHER unemployment rate means we've made progress.

    >>> If the republicans didn't say no all the time, we would be in better shape.>>>

In the first two years of Obama's presidency, he got his two main signature items passed into law -- the stimulus package, and Obamacare.

So, no, my friend ... there was no "Republican obstructionism" going on there.

And soon after that, our unemployment rate went into double digits.

By the way ... Obama recently submitted a budget to the Senate (which is led by Democrats!) that got voted down 99 to NOTHING.

So, it's not just "Republicans saying no."

Poor misguided phony conservative. GW had crashed the economy so that everything was going to hell in a hand basket. The bottom of the Bush recession happened I believe a couple of months after Obama took office. Unemployment is a problem but you know what? It was as much a problem when GW was president. Did you bitch about him? No because he talks to God?

Obama doubled down on Bush's worst mistakes and ignored the smart moves he voted against while in the Senate.

No disagreement from me that he made a lot of dumb moves. Kept on too many of GW's people and continued the wars. What a waste.

I don't recall that he kept any of GWB's people. Could you name some?

Agree that he promised to end the wars but has only reduced manpower and let our enemies know when they can start fighting again.

The DOW being today where it was 5 years ago is of no fault of his.
But, SENATOR obama did have a hand in pulling it down to 7000.

What obama inherited he got from himself and his fellow democrats in congress.
