    Option c: Other.
I see no reason Romney would not live through his first term.
I can, however, foresee threats against the current one should he get a second term. (people will only tolerate an involuntary screwing so many times)

Again I suspect that security would be tight enough to protect him,

Interesting to note that neither the President or Romney are at the London Games to support Team America...

You might be right, yet I do remember reading a security bulletin that was concerned about the idea of having several Western Leaders in a public space at the same time...

i agree with what you say as I believe that all politicians should be prepared to open their pasts to public scrutiny. Not only does it help establish trust between the people and the politician, it is also a good indicator of their moral character.

After all anybody applying for a sensitive job in government have their pasts thoroughly raked over as part of their vetting process, so why should politicians be any different?

What I meant was that it would be more interesting if they were to debate policy....

Yep they will both have to have pretty concrete election manifestos by then.

It would parallel what happened here. The justification was that it would attract more business as wealthy people would be more likely to come here to invest in business.

What a load of boll*cks, wealthy people don't pay the higher rate of income tax, the most they every pay is that of corporation tax - and only then if they can't get away from it....
