If Arizona can do it, why can't the rest of America?

This is very interesting and if Arizona can do it, why can't the rest of America ? (Read to the very last line! Shocking!)

MEXICO IS ANGRY ! Three cheers for Arizona.

The shoe is on the other foot and the Mexicans from the State of Sonora, Mexico doesn't like it. Can you believe the nerve of these people? It's almost funny. The State of Sonora is angry at the influx of Mexicans into Mexico . Nine state legislators from the Mexican State of Sonora traveled to Tucson to complain about Arizona 's new employer crackdown on illegals from Mexico.

It depends on which governors have the balls to do it. Rick Perry in Texas does not. He has stated on the radio that he will NOT sign a similar bill.

::sigh:: I just have to laugh when someone say something about illegal immigrants. Everyone who isn't a NATIVE American has no room to talk. ::shrug:: Do you think you would be here if your great-whatever didn't come here illegally? Not everyone could get here legally. So, no one lie, please. Good for you if your family did come here legally. But now you don't wanna give anyone else a chance.

Now, don't get me wrong, the president of Mexico (with their strict laws) shouldn't talk. He's an idiot. Making themselves look so damn stupid. But we are not Mexico. ::sigh:: What a bunch of morons.

The 9 should have been arrested and truned over to ICE. This is very very funny by the way. Do you know there are more Irish here in the US then in Ierland. I wonder if this is the same way with Mexico.

If the rest of the states forced the Federal Government's hand, we would be on the road to recovery.

well this human trafficking is a big business. all over the world they regularly check and deport illegals. even in america it isnt legal to cross over hence the term illegal. and this did not need a special law under arizona to start action - this law already exists. this is also big business for some mafia/ police/govt officials in both countries in the border. this kind of sudden action on an old problem will cause sudden problems. i hope the govt takes the same step towards drug trafficking which is happening under every one's nose and has been filling the pockets of several us police/ govt officials.

    psychotic isn't it?
Arizona should sue the federal government for violating their constitutional rights.
The only problem here is,,, You Are NOT allowed to sue big brother.
I have some very deep worries here. It's like Arizona is being left to stand alone.

I think the new mayor is going to change that. She was busy all weekend tearing down old houses so the land could be sold off (something the last 3 mayors were trying to get taken care of but couldn't manage).

    From the Houston Chronicle:
White's successor as Houston's nonpartisan Mayor, Annise Parker, is staying out of the governor's race. She does, though, have a clear opinion on the "sanctuary city" charge:

"Houston is not a sanctuary city. If you break a law in Houston, we will arrest you, we will take you to jail, and, if you're in this country illegally, we will turn you over to the appropriate federal agency, generally ICE. We will do it day and day after day, and we have been doing it for a very long time. What we don't do is divert our police officers to stop people on the street and inquire about immigration status. That's a waste of resources."

She is implying that Arizona is stopping people on the street to inquire about their immigration status, which is not true. When someone has broken the law and when asked to produce identification, can't produce proper identification, then their legal status is checked. Common sense to most Americans.

If it's not a sunctuary city then why do so many illegals live in Houston. I feel they are more likely to leave if they know being caught for any crime or even being pulledover will lead to deportation. I often hear about people being hit by illegals that don't have vehicle insurance and aren't arrested or even given a ticket. If it wasn't a sanctuary city the word would get around that being caught for crimes will get them jailed and deported. But they keep coming in instead of leaving.

Plus, by Parker stating that Houston is not and was not a sanctuary city allows her to continue business as usual.

I live is a small town outside of Houston and I saw 2 INS vans full of people driving toward Houston yesterday. I truly hope they are going to do something. The news had a report about a terrorist from Somolia that came in through Mexico so it may have something to do with that. They have everybody looking for him (per a local cop)

I'm more of a city boy. I stayed in Liberty for two years and hated it. You have to drive too far to do anything. There's nothing to do in Liberty or surrounding towns. I developed a liking for Beaumont. They have a big Books-A-Million in Parkdale Mall. It's 3 times as big as the one at Katy Mills Mall. If that one is still there.

It's on Fry Rd. Make a right on Fry Rd when going west on I-10. Go down about 1 mile on your right. They have a lot of variety. I think Half Priced bookson Nasa Rd 1 in Clear Lake has better choices of political and business books though. They also have a better selection of audiobooks.

If you like novels more, Katy Budget Books has a really big sale twice a year I think. I think the most recent one is still going on. I'm not 100% sure though. Paperbacks for around 25 cents and hardbacks for a dollar I think. They also have large quantities of certain authors like Stephen King, David Baldacci, Dean Koontz and many others.
