Everybody involved with the Banks Failing, the Housing Market failing, and the Stimulus failing, should be prosecuted. And any of them that receive any bonus, golden parachute, promotion, retirement or anything else of value should forfeit every dime. On top of being convicted for fraud, and whatever other violation fits what they did to the American People.

for its subprime mortgage trades resulted from either "weak laws or
weak enforcement," the senator who asked for a criminal investigation of
the firm said on Friday.

I would say that it is both, the weal laws, are the Congress's fault, and the lack of enforcement buy the government, it does not matter which party is involved. They are all equally guilty of defrauding the American People.
