    I think Obama can change.

I believe Obama can change a lot that is wrong with this world. However, he is not alone in this messy government, there a lot of people with vested interests in making his policies fail, within and outside the country, and they will do everything in their power to see him fail.. Therefore, I think he will get some changes accomplished, but not all that he would like.

Are you actually serious asking a question like that? You really think ONE person can change the world?? People like you who 'follow' the leader are what's killing this world.

There is no change. Bush started this long slow march to Socialism now Obama is making it a 50 yard dash.

Yeah, Bush did all of this?!. Do your homework, the Dems are the ones who want more gov't, and socialism. My husband busts his ass everyday to pay taxes for all the Dems programs for the lazy ass shits out there who want to sit on their porches and complain that they got 'nuthing'. The 'U' in 'nothing' is there for a reason. Wake up and drive around your inner cities to see these losers.

I was referring to the first bailout, I have been against all bailouts. No matter who is president. But I like your point of view.

I just got my interest rates raised on my credit card, and I have always paid on time and paid more than the minimum. Why am I being punished....oh yeah to pay off the debt that others refuse to pay. This is not a Republican thing, it's a far left Liberal agenda going on right now.

Um, no it's a political thing. The repubs are just as guilty as the left at bullshit, money motivated politics.

You're being punished because the banks got greedy, and are now taking their multi million dollar bonuses for driving companies into the ground.

The 'Um' thing is silly. We all know why this financial crises happened. Im paying for the people who can't pay back what they owe. And the Dems had a huge role in that. They wanted the under privaleged and minorities to achieve the 'American Dream'. Well I'm losing my american dream to pay off theirs.

What's silly is failing to see that both sides are corrupt and destroying the american dream. ANd no , you're not losing your american dream to pay off theirs, your losing your american dream to the greed of the wealthy. The politicians, banks, wall street, and the friends of politicians (haliburton ring a bell?) who are all taking from you and I, while padding their pockets and watching us fight over whether it's the fault of the left or right (as opposed to actually doing something abou tit).

We live week to week and have always done the right thing and paid all our bills on time, but now the banks raise my rates to make up for their losses for all the people who don't pay. We pay our taxes, bills, fees, etc. and we are struggling. But because we've done the right thing we're going to have to struggle even more. Does that make sense to you?

Hell, no! I believe Obama is intentionally trying to destroy the middle class, to make this country more fertile ground for true Soviet communism. Euro style socialism isn’t good enough for him.

Historically it is the repubs that pass out bailouts. If i recall correctly (and I may not, you may want to look it up) Reagan handed out the biggest bailout.
  • Jackie Modena ... March 30, 2009 03:40:46
    Jackie
huh? You may want to look things up, going back to the Carter fiasco.

yes, i did not say ONLY the repubs, I said primarily the repubs that have dealt out bailouts to large companies and it's been happening since early in the last century.
  • Jackie Modena ... April 02, 2009 22:07:22

no, you said "Historically it is the repubs that pass out bailouts." read above.

Ok, I mis-stated my self. It predominantly republicans who've passed them out in the past, but not solely republicans.

I did not mean to imply liberals have not, just that they've historically done it less than the right.

Change will occur with or without Obama or anyone else's help. When individuals seek to make change, it isn't always for the better.
