George Carlin's Solution to Save Gasoline Bush wants us to cut the amount of gas we use.The best way to stop using so much gas is to deport 11 million illegal immigrants!That would be 11 million less people using our gas. The price of gas wouldcomedown. Bring our troops home from Iraq to guard the Border.When they catch an illegal immigrant crossing the border, hand him a canteen, rifle and some ammo and ship him to Iraq . Tell him if he wants to come to America then he must serve a tour in the military. Give him a soldier's pay while he's there and tax him on it. After his tour, he will be allowed to become a citizen since he defended this country. He will also be registered to be taxed and be a legal patriot. This option will probably deter illegal immigration and provide a solution for the troops in Iraq and the aliens trying to make a better life for themselves. If they refuse to serve, ship them to Iraq anyway, without the canteen,rifle or ammo.Problem solved.If you think this is a good solution to both the problems, forward it to your friends. I just did. I don't know whether or not it is a good idea, but it probably isn't a bad one. Unfortunately, it has no chance of being implemented because of the number of people in this country who think it is our job to make the world perfect... regardless of the cost in American lives and treasure. I think the real answer is to raise taxes and make the government bigger. That should solve everything.
I suggest that we have a 'last law' day. That day will be in celebration of the passing of the last law that will make everything perfect for everyone in this country, all the time and forever more! It's logical to conclude that if we need all these laws and expenditures to make things right, then there must be a time when we will have done everything we can do. What do you think? Are we getting close?

It's hard to actually go through with it and it's something that we shouldn't have to be suffering over. Think if Bush weren't fighting this war the kind of money that could be put towards the things the country needs! Normally I go off on Bush, now isn't the time...I just say, BLAME HIM FOR EVERYTHING...with a national defense budget going from 9.3 Billion in 2001 (when 9-11 happened) and the following year it LOWERED to 8.3 Billion, 2003 the budget was for 62.2 Billion 2004's was 62 Billion and since 2004 EVERY YEAR WE HAVE BEEN over 100 BILLION, think if he took 1 BILLION of that and put it towards lowering our gas prices each year! He is a MORON! Bush is the one to blame since he is the figure head in control of everything or claims to be and wants the popularity for what he's doing with the war and refuses to pull our (apparently like his dad did which is the problem with him even being in office)

it is so true if u want to be herer that is fine with me we all came from somewhere else my family from scottland , and yes all of the men in my family have fought in wars since the time we got here.. BUt do u think in would change their minds about being here I dont think so not if they are serious...Why should all of the Black and white Americans fight all of the time we see very few spanish or mexican decent over seas.

For the same reason that I don't like the draft, forcing someone to
fight for you country is an easy way to get your fellow comrades
killed. There would not be 11 million people using gas, the just
wouldn't be using it here. And the majority of the illegal aliens live
where they work, and dont use much gas in the first place. The other
ones are shipping drugs and they would just find a different way of
getting it to the market. If we bring home the troops, then we have to
use all the fuel to get them back and forth from halfway around the
world, and then shipping the illegal aliens halfway around the world.
Much more waste of fuel than cars do. And we would still have the
problem of the labor shortage that it would cause here, so food cost
would go up. And how good would a 3 year old actually be with a rifle
anyway? It is good as a comic line, but not good in practical life.

It's humororus, but not realistic. For starters, bring troops home before the Iraq government has a fighting chance to gain conrol of their contry would be disasterous. The other major problem is that troops are not allowed to be used for border patrol - their sole funtion is to defend our country from enimies.

Actually they can be used to guard the border, because the people that
they are stopping are not americans. What better use of the military
than to secure the border?
