I understand freedom of speech; it is important; no mattter rhe party.
But these Tweets on Twitter makes me want to go Postal.....these worthless Bastards hide and think no one will notice them.

I'd like to think we are more sharing; and peaceful than any country; but enough is enough already..

It is time for these pukes to say this in front of America. and our soldiers...if they don'tt like it here; I say let's find them a place to go!! Look at this garbage..

And Chris Rock; shut up!!

Apparently it was this comment by Aaron Sorkin that sent them all over the edge-

Aaron Sorkin in The Newsroom: nothing

There’s absolutely no evidence to support the statement that we’re the greatest country in the world. We’re seventh in literacy, 27th in math, 22nd in science, 49th in life expectancy, 178th in infant mortality, third in median household income, number 4 in labor force, and number 4 in exports. We lead the world in only 3 categories: number of incarcerated citizens per capita, number of adults who believe angels are real, and defense spending where we spend more than the next 26 countries combined, 25 of whom are allies.

I think we probably lead the world in many ways which are positive. I'll take a non-social/scientific guess and say that more people enjoy a higher standard of living here than anywhere else. Maybe I am wrong depending on how one gages such things. I am great believer in what has been accomplished here, there is always room for improvement. But, I recognize also that countries are great self-promoters and it is just as true as it is anywhere else.
    :)

No, we don't. Notice how all of the countries above us have universal healthcare too.

Assuming that our universal healthcare system will now be implemented, where else might we get started improving?

Hopefully it will improve some- still not universal or single payer- education and training- not every kid needs to go to college- infrastructure and connecting broadband- I'm afraid we;ve changed from a meritocracy to a corporatocracy- some of the limitiations that were removed from business by Glass Steagall- which kept consumer and business banking separate- would be a good start-
    what do you think?

I'm getting tired of the America bashers being the ones taking the most money out of her.
To them, I say, go back to your own country and clean up the mess there. Stop trying to come here and act disgraceful to American values.

Allen West is a War Criminal that got booted out of the US Army for torturing Iraqi civilians. He belongs in prison, not the Congress. The VFW endorsed a non-veteran rather than endorse him.

Readers have reminded me of the controversial end of Allen’s Army career. Here’s the Wikipedia summary:

While serving in Taji, Iraq, on August 20, 2003, as commander of the 2d Battalion, 20th Field Artillery Regiment, Lieutenant Colonel West was in charge of an interrogation of a civilian Iraqi police officer who was suspected of having pertinent information regarding attacks on American soldiers in the area. Interrogators had learned that the detainee had information about a planned ambush. When the interrogators were unable to extract the needed important information for some time, LTC West was asked to come try to obtain the important information. As the detainee continued to hold back the information, LTC West fired his pistol past the detainee’s head into a clearing barrel, frightening (but not physically harming) the detainee and getting him to finally give the information. According to Lt. Col. West’s sworn statement, the detainee informed West that:

” [The attack] was to occur Friday morning in Saba al Boor vicinity of the police station by positioned snipers supposedly being brought in from Fallujah. [The detainee] was to ID my vehicle and myself for these rooftop firers. We took this information and the following day established flask CPs and used AH-64s overhead. There was no attack and no further attacks have emanated from the town since the apprehension of [the detainee] and his named associates. “

At least one man was apprehended as a result of the information obtained through the detainee’s interrogation. His home was searched, but no plans for attacks on Americans or weapons were found. Colonel West testified that he did not know whether “any corroboration” of a plot was ever found, adding: “At the time I had to base my decision on the intelligence I received. It’s possible that I was wrong about [the detainee,] Mr. Hamoodi.”

Yes, those folks may speak ill of this country but it is freedom of speech. Just like it is freedom of speech to speak of hating and showing disrespect towards the president.

The ones who destroying this country are the ones pulling the strings... the ones who are of the uber rich, the MIC, the Banksters, and other corporate shills. Their media lies and distortions have "regular" folks pointing fingers at each other while they steal our tax dollars year after year.

#1 on the Bill of Rights is Freedom of Speech........Americans have ALL the right in the world to speak up about how they feel about their country. And, if you don't like it, don't read 'tweets'. Lordy, I have to put up with annoying people every day....you need to learn how to. These folks that think our country could be improved are right....and hopefully, they are working on what it is they feel will make it better for ALL of us.

I think a persons duty to tell the truth as they understand it is more important than their loyalty to anything else.
America, like all nations, has its share of demons and mistakes and flaws and one should not be denigrated for expressing that reality.
