I don't know about you, but I am sick and tired of Pakistan's BS. Either they are truly our Allie or they are not. I say, that until they stop their BS.

Patriot Unit 2012/06/14 17:46:36
I say that until the commit to being our Allie, That ever dollar that we give them stops. If they tell us to get out, then for sure every dollar should stop. But being that we have a gutless President, and a gutless Secretary of State. Along with a gutless Congress that loves foreign aid, trying to buy friendships and alliances. Something they are very bad at. We will continue to waste our taxpayer dollars on these countries that could care less for us, other than the fact that we give them money.

I think its long past time that we made India our Allie in that area, and be done with it. We set back on our fat butts and hope that things will improve. We set on our fat butts, hopping that Terrorism with just stop, if we pay more money, and pretend it does not exist. We allow our enemies to grow stronger every day. Not only those in the Middle East, but also those like Russia, China, and so on.

I don't care what political views you hold, We can Not buy Friendship, nor is Freedom Free. Friendship is given, not bought. And Freedom is earned, not taken for granted.

This Nation needs to stop trying to buy it's friends... it doesn't work. Socialist and Communist Nations will NEVER truly be this Nation's ally. Ever. We are doing ourselves a disservice to believe otherwise for even a moment. They are all backstabbers when it counts the most.

They aren't our ally. They control what happens in Afghanistan. We go through Pakistan to supply troops in Afghanistan.

It's tricky. Pakistan is a nuclear power. Many of their politicians and rulers like us. Many of their military officers don't like us. We have sold them military hardware on several occasions only to hold the stuff indefinitely until they clean-up their act. We don't give them money without strings attached. It's just a method to get them to do what we want. What we ought to do is threaten to sell more arms to India. That gets their attention.

I totally agree, for even one we sell to Pakistan, we should offer the same to India. They are both nuclear powers so why do we deal to one and not the other?

Ron Paul would probably end all foreign aid. Then we don't have to pick and choose our allies and enemies. I figure Gary Johnson would do ditto.

It's not stolen. It is an expenditure and it is in the budget. Don't be misled by the term "foreign aid." It's bribe money, an enticement to get them to do what we want. Pakistan has been useful in killing terrorists in both the Bush and Obama administrations.

The President can not appropriate moeny, the Congress does that. And that does not mean that it was Constitutional. Many of the things Congress does are excuses for overstepping their Constitutional Authority. And they know it.

Its only a tool if its applied equally for the interned purpose. It's charity in the eyes of Congress and those in it who think we can buy friends and or allies. We deal with out foreign aid the same way we deal with Illegal Aliens. Ignore the problem or spend money on it with no logical results.

Easy arm-chair analysis but they own some treasured real-estate and have a fundamentalist Muslim majority. Repubs and Dems have had and will continue to have troubles and we're faced with choosing the best of several bad scenarios. Hard line negotiations and withdrawal of funds will lead to a large new and uncontrollable nuclear powered Islamic state that makes Iran seem like a 'model citizen'.
