I Am Woman, Hear Me Roar!

Are you "scared to be a woman" as the most recent Obama campaign ad implies? Really?! Let me tell you something, if you are scared to be a woman for any reason, you have no right to call yourself a woman. Our history--and I mean the history of everyone--is built upon the backs of strong women. These are women who never flinched when times were tough; these are women who fought wars, built nations, worked for peace and birthed generations of civilizations under the most diverse conditions.
Why are we going to stand aside and allow Barack Obama to demonize being a woman; why are we going to allow him to continue to demean us, put us down, make us feel as though we are less than we should be? We are women, we are better than that, stronger, more willing to stand up and defend our ability to strengthen ourselves, strenghten our families, our children, our communities. We have voices that will raise a nation and motivate a generation against the ill-will Barack Obama is perpetrating against women.
We are women who have the strength and the ability to control our own bodies. We are not here to allow a man, any man, to dominate us or to determine who we are. We are women who control what happens to our bodies and we are women who understand that the consequences of our acts are the results of our own decisions. We handle things, we manage our lives, we fight for what is ours by right. We do not whine and cry when things do not go our way; we do not blame others for our wrongs and we do not hide behind government funded agencies who feed us false information or make us feel as though we are to be belittled because we are women. We are not easily shamed and we do not have to feel guilt because of who we are or because we are women. We do not allow anyone to lower our self-esteem or allow anyone to make us feel scared to be a woman.
Back off, Barack Obama, otherwise you will have to face a wall of women who will not stand for your patronizing, arrogant attitude against us. You will not scare us nor will you lower our self-esteem with your veiled threats against our determination to be strong-willed and strong-minded women who oppose every word you say against us. We are not yours to tame.
Scared to be a woman? Oh, hell no! I'm proud to be a woman. Proud of my heritage as a woman because I know and understand that the future of our country lies within my body, within my womb and within the very fruit of my labors. And that, Mr. Obama, you cannot nor never will be able to take away from me by making me feel any guilt of any sort.

And good luck, you'd need it!! :-D
Seen that pic of her and the First Ladies of two other nations walking up a flight of stairs??
Methinks she's not practicing the dietary preaching she did/is doing...
She was at one time a speaker about proper diet and such right?? Something about an organic garden on White House land??
...and hopefully never will. :-D
what did Obama say to offend women?
the republicans on the other hand have been on an anti-woman jihad since 2010 and women from sea to shining sea are not likely to forget it anytime soon.
i think they have EVERY right to be concerned, and i didn't see the ad as portraying women as weak... just the opposite... they are going to hold Romney and the Republicans accountable for their attacks on women's rights come November.
you can spin that away... its too profound. it strikes at the heart of who we are as nation.
SP did not stand up. She fell flat on her face.
and yes, for that i criticize her... but mostly i criticized John McCain for choosing her.
for you to expect that to happen just because they have gender in common speaks VOLUMES about how you really view women and what they can bring to the table.
good luck with that.
She is the epitome of what American women are ..not!
American women scared... no way...what a hoot!
Must have been a liberal male who came up with that totally trite ad!
There is not any normal American woman who relates to her in any way LOL
