Politicians pick and choose what parts of the Constitution they want to follow, and the rest is up to interpretation. The Founding Fathers didn't completely agree on what should be in the documents, But they worked, Argued, and Compromised until they came up with something they all could all agree with.
Now a days we have many in our Government who act as if They consult with an Ouija Board To directly ask The Founding Fathers What there true intentions were.
I am a Constitutionalist and do not believe "interpretations" necessary. We also have our Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights. Do you believe in them and what our founders intended?

Constitutionalism s the idea associated with the
political theories of the "founders" of the American republic,
and equated with the concept of the "Rule of Law", that government can and
should be legally limited in its powers, and that its authority depends on
enforcing these limitations.
A Constitutionalist demands from elected officials 100%
compliance with the limitations placed on them by the Constitution. No
wiggle room just because they will vote for our favorite
extra-constitutional program.
A Constitutionalist decides that the
Constitution is not a living breathing document that entitles us to vote
for politicians that will give us what we want; whether it be a new
entitlement program, farm subsidy, war, or aircraft carrier.
A Constitutionalist is not impressed
with a politicians claim to support the Constitution simply by carrying
and whipping out the pocket Constitution at opportune times.
It is really that simple. A Constitutionalist demands allegiance to the Constitution, all the time, every time, every vote with no exceptions.
A Constitutionalist is not a Republican. A constitutionalist is not a conservative. A Constitutionalist is not a Democrat. A Constitutionalist is not a liberal.
A true Constitutionalist does not get caught up in parties or inflamatory issues meant to arouse people to vote a certain way. A true Constitutionalist believe that the Democrats and Republicans have squandered the Founders'
legacy of liberty and justice under the Constitution.
Countless
government officials in the legislative, executive, and judicial
branches of government ignore their oath to uphold and defend the
Constitution.
There are few, true Constitutionalists in our corporate cronyism political system running America today. Are you a Constitutionalist?

And, any law passed; which cannot be shown, to have quantifiable direct harm to another individual; is a violation of the spirit of the Constitution.
