In Germany, when Hitler came to power, it was a time of terrible financial depression. Money was worth nothing. In Germany people lost homes and jobs, just like in the American Depression in the 1930s, which we have read about in Thoene’s Shiloh books. In those days, in my homeland, Adolph Hitler was elected to power by promising ‘Change.’ He blamed the ‘Zionists’ around the world for all our problems. He told everyone it was greedy Zionist Bankers who had caused every problem we had. He promised when he was leader, the greedy Zionist bankers would be punished. The Zionists, he promised, would be wiped off the face of the earth. So Hitler was elected to power by only 1/3 the popular vote. A coalition of other political parties in parliament made him supreme leader. Then, when he was leader, he disgraced and expelled everyone in parliament who did not go along with him. Yes. Change came to my homeland as the new leader promised it would.
The teachers in German schools began to teach the children to sing songs in praise of Hitler. This was the beginning of the Hitler Youth movement. It began with praise of the Fuhrer’s programs on the lips of innocent children. Hymns in praise of Hitler and his programs were being sung in the schoolrooms and in the playyard. Little girls and boys joined hands and sang these songs as they walked home from school.
My brother came home and told Papa what was happening at school. The political hymns of children proclaimed Change was coming to our homeland and the Fuhrer was a leader we could trust. I will never forget my father’s face. Grief and fear. He knew that the best propaganda of the Nazis was song on the lips of little children. That evening before he said grace at the dinner table, he placed his hands upon the heads of my brothers and me and prayed the Living Word upon us from Jeremiah 1:4-5.
‘Now the Word of the Lord came to me, saying,
‘Before I formed you
in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I
consecrated you; I
appointed you a prophet to The nations.’
Soon the children’s songs praising the Fuhrer were heard everywhere on the streets and over the radio. ‘With our Fuhrer to lead us, we can do it! We can change the world!’ Soon after that Papa, a pastor, was turned away from visiting elderly parishioners in hospitals. The people he had come to bring comfort of God’s Word, were ‘no longer there.’ Where had they vanished to while under nationalized health care?
It became an open secret. The elderly and sick began to disappear from hospitals feet first as ‘mercy killing’ became the policy. Children with disabilities and those who had Down syndrome were euthanized.
People whispered, ‘Maybe it is better for them now. Put them out of misery. They are no longer suffering. And, of course, their death is better for the treasury of our nation. Our taxes no longer must be spent to care for such a burden.’ And so murder was called mercy.
The government took over private business. Industry and health care were ‘nationalized.’ (NA-ZI means National Socialist Party) The businesses of all Jews were seized. (Perhaps you remember our story in Berlin on Krystalnacht in the book Munich Signature)
The world and God’s word were turned upside down. Hitler promised the people economic Change?
Not change. It was, rather, Lucifer’s very ancient Delusion leading to Destruction. What began with the propaganda of children singing a catchy tune ended in the deaths of millions of children. The reality of what came upon us is so horrible that you in this present generation cannot imagine it. Our suffering is too great to ever tell in a book or show in a black and white newsreel.
When I spoke to Bodie about some of these things, she wept and said she could not bear to write them. Perhaps one day she will, but I asked her, ‘who could bear to read our suffering?’ Yet with my last breaths I warn every Christian and Jew now in the name of the Lord,
Unless your course of the church in America is spiritually changed now, returning to the Lord, there are new horrors yet to come.
I trembled last night when I heard the voices of American children raised in song, praising the name of Obama, the charismatic fellow who claims he is the American Messiah. Yet I have heard what this man Obama says about abortion and the ‘mercy killing’ of tiny babies who are not wanted.
There are so few of us left to warn you. I have heard that there are 69 million Catholics in America and 70 million Evangelical Christians.
Where are your voices? Where is your outrage? Where is passion and your vote? Do you vote based on an abortionist’s empty promises and economics?
Or do you vote according to the Bible? Thus says the Lord about every living child still in the womb.
‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and
before you were born I consecrated you.’
I have experienced the signs of the politics of Death in my youth.
I see them again now. Christians! Unless you stand up now, you will lose your freedom of religion. In America priests and preachers have already lost their freedom to speak openly from their pulpits of moral danger in political candidates. They cannot legally instruct you of which candidate holds fast to the precepts of scripture! American law forbids this freedom of speech to conservative pastors or they will lose their ‘tax exempt’ status. And yet I have heard the words of Obama’s pastor Damning America! I have heard the words of Obama damning and mocking all of you in small towns because you ‘Cling to your religion.’ But I am a woman whose name is unknown. My life is recorded as a work of fiction. I have no fear of reprisal when I speak truth to you from the pages of a book. (Though the Zion Covenant books are mocked and condemned by the Left in America.)
I am an old woman and will soon go to be with my Lord. I have no fear for myself, but for all of you and for your children, I tremble. I tremble at the hymns to a political leaders which your children will sing at school. (Though even now a hymn or a prayer to God and our Lord Jesus is against the law in public school!)
Your vote must put a stop to what will come upon America if Barrack Obama is elected. I pray you will personally heed this warning for the sake of your children and your grandchildren. Do not be deceived.
The Lord in Jeremiah 1:7-8 commands every believer to speak up!
‘Do not say, ‘I am only a youth,’ for to all whom I send you, you shall go, and whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of them for I am with you, declares the Lord!’
I am in Prayer for you, and for the Church! Spoken to you in the authority of Jesus the Christ, the Name Above All Names,

Who Do You Think Currently Has the Upper Hand in the 2012 Election?
It's going to be a long, hard fight between Barack Obama and his likely GOP competitor, Mitt Romney. But who do you think currently has the upper hand?

2. quote " I heard the voices of American children raised in song, praising the name of Obama"... You may disagree with Obama on policy, but painting such a mental picture after describing Hitler Youth in Nazi Germany is just plain silly.
3. quote: "I have experienced the signs of the politics of Death in my youth." This must have been a traumatic experience, but at this time, in this country, nothing like this will happen while Democrats are in the majority. Just because you have many years of experience does not mean you are right. Just remember the policies in effect under GWB that clearly disregarded the US constitution (e.g., warrantless wiretapping).
4. If you value your freedom, you have to recognize that this freedom also originates from the First Amendment to the US Constitution (freedom of speech). If we would not have the separation of church and state, this country would not be free, but instead [by policy] largely resemble the republic of Iran.
I think you need some history lessons:
(1) Hitler was elected by a majority of Germans as Chancellor. He was subordinate to President Hindenburg until the latter's death, at which point Hitler also assumed the role of President in addition to Chancellor.
(2) You are wrong about their being no comparison between singing praises to Obama and to Hitler. Such activity is brainwashing that leads to cult worship, and cult worship ultimately always leads to abuse of power.
(3) While I agree the Patriot Act may have been overly intrusive, and left in place too long, warrantless wiretapping is legal if a specifc law or executive order allows it.
(4) Separation of church and state, as envisioned by the founding fathers, was to protect freedom of religious practice from state encroachment. It was not the founding fathers' intent to ignore Godly doctrine in the foundation of our law. Our highest law, the Declaration of Independence, which is our national charter, makes numerous references to God.

#2 fail. a=ridiculous. a->b, b->c and finally c->d which is really really terrible. yawn.
#3 win.
#4 "national charter" ?? the Declaration of Independence is not a law http://tinyurl.com/y7mcrv I stand by me comment.
(1) Perhaps I was wrong that Hitler was elected by a majority; it may have been a plurality. But there was an election.
(2) Name any country, any time in history, where the leader is the focus rather than the nation itself, and the leader is not a tyrant. Think of the Caesars of Rome, Mao Tse Tung, Kin Il Jong, Hitler, Mussolini, etc.
(3) We agree.
(4) You are correct that the Declaration of Independence is not a law per se, but it definitely is our national charter, in that it sets the tone (spirit of the law) by which which all laws are interpreted (the Constitution, federal codes, state law, and munipal law).

P.S. I wish political debate would not always lead to bringing up Hitler, Mao, or other tyrants. We are living in a very free society and comparing our political issues to Nazi Germany unduly diminishes the impact of the Holocaust.
In total honesty, I don't believe I am overreacting. While it's true that the GOP is stonewalling, Pelosi has enough control over the Blue Dog Democrats to get Obama anything he wants. And he doesn't want centrism, he wants cult based socialism. I'm not saying that he wants people burning in gas ovens like Hitler, but he clearly is intent on destroying the rule of law (as it applies to the government) and the foundations of economic freedom. Remember the Christmas tree orb of Mao at the White House? That was no accident, it MEANS something.

Laws that destroy freedom:
(1) Destruction of states'/peoples' rights by passing a health care bill that violates the Tenth Amendment. Regulation of insurance, and dictating coverages, are NOT enumerated rights of the federal government under the Constitution. THIS IS ILLEGAL.
(2) Obama has convened a group of ten governors, along with Sec. of State Hillary Clinton, to grant both domestic and FOREIGN military personnel local police rights in American towns and cities. Read about the Posse Comitatus law - THIS IS ILLEGAL.
(3) Obama has proposed making making anti-administration speech illegal under the Patriot Act, violating the First Amendment. If enacted, this would be ILLEGAL.
(4) Back to the HC bill, Obama ILLEGALLY classified it as a budget resolution, denying the Senate the right to filibuster because a supermajority would not be required to stop one. THIS IS ILLEGAL.
(5) Three major cases of voter intimidation (ACORN, SEIU, Black Panthers) were squelched by his AG. Failure to order Holder to prosecute these cases is a breach of duty to supervise under the law. THIS IS ILLEGAL.
Get off your damn KoolAid and look at the facts. Obama is a SOCIALIST. He thinks the law is anything that comes out of his evil brain. WAKE UP AND SMELL THE POISON.

P.S. What followed was another collection of trendy smear-words that show your irrational dislike of our president. Just calm down, and instead get angry at the majority in Congress – it is them who give him the laws to sign (yes, that's majority rule for all of us: a DEMOCRACY).
(1) Violating the Tenth Amendment IS illegal. The mere fact that "the supreme court has never invalidated any federal or state law for infringing economic liberties" does not matter, because previous violations of the Tenth Amendment may never have been challenged.
(2) The fact that Obama did not sign the Posse Comitatus act has nothing to do with anything. The point is that Posse Comitatus forbids use of miltary troops for local policing purposes. The Governor's Conference plan has already been started via an executive order signed by Obama, and the World Police plan is already being negotiated by Sec. of State Clinton with NATO allies. You can easily Google for both of these to obtain sources.
(3) The anti-administration speech extention to the Patriot Act has not to my nowledge been implemented. It was publicly stated to be an intent of Obama to add it at some time in the future. Congress would of course have to approve the change before it could become law.
(4) You are wrong about reconciliation not being a law. Article 7 of the Constitution provides that a supermajority is required to block a filibuster, with the exception of budget resolutions, which only require a simple majority for blockage. (5) The fact that ACORN collapsed is irrelevant to the discussion. AG Holder violated his affirmative duty as officer of the court by not procescuting the ACORN, SEIU, and Black Panther cases.
You seem to misunderstand what democracy means. It means we get to elect Congressmen and other officials, rather than being ruled by a king or dictator. It does NOT mean that once laws are passed, Congress and the administration are free to ignore laws already on the books.

#2 Finally we are getting somewhere: I have been outraged about this since 2007 when GWB signed the Executive Order: http://tinyurl.com/yyc4lrt
#3 No law was signed q.e.d.
#4 please check your sources: Article 7 says how many state ratifications were required for the Constitution to take effect, and Senate rule XXII (22) explains cloture that breaks a filibuster by a 60% vote and [I stand corrected] reconciliation comes from Congressional Budget Act of 1974, but regardless, reconciliation has been used several times before for non-budget changes to bills that were later signed by the president. Sorry, I am picky.
#5 I am sure there are valid reasons for AG to prosecute or not.
No, I perfectly understand what democracy means (etc). I just pay attention to details and wait for more verifiable evidence before I put a “tyrant” label on anyone. Although I disliked the policies of the GWB administration (warrantless wiretapping, torturing, not paying for two wars, etc), I did not label them tyrant[s].
"I meant to say that the determination whether the HC bill conforms to the constitution is for the supreme court to decide" - Agreed. All I am saying is that if the court acts according to the law, my belief is that they will find it illegal on Tenth Amendment and Article 7 grounds.
"I have been outraged about this since 2007 when GWB signed the Executive Order" - GWB was in the wrong, because an EO should only temporarily suppress a law (in this case Posse Comitatus) to address a specified exigency, which his EO didn't. Obama's EO regarding the use of domestic military (already signed) has this same defect. So also does the World Police initiative being negotiated by Sec. Clinton.
"No law was signed q.e.d." - This does not mean that a bill infringing on First Amendment rights won't at some later date be submitted to Congress. So there is still a risk here.
"reconciliation has been used several times before for non-budget changes to bills that were later signed by the president" - This may be true, but multiple wrongs do not make a right. The fact is that Obama illegally denied the Senate its right to filibuster by misclassifying the HC bill as a budget resolution.

The AG chose not to prosecute for political reasons. He had an affirmative as officer of the court to do his job, and he didn't.
"Although I disliked the policies of the GWB administration (warrantless wiretapping, torturing, not paying for two wars, etc), I did not label them tyrant[s]." - You may be amazed at my saying this, but I think GWB was a tyrant. There was absolutely no proof that Iraq was engaging in nuclear research in 2003, but Bush was running low in the polls due to American frustration that the invasion of Afghanistan did not eliminate the Taliban. He needed a quick, decisive military win to get his popularity up to beat Kerry. It's a classic case of the "tail wagging the dog."

I am optimistic that a combination of individual and shared responsibility can work very well even in this country and that does not automatically mean that we will loose the freedoms granted by the US constitution. Unfortunately, socialism is such a scary word in the US, nobody can argue its benefits without facing an angry mob.
On a more philosophical topic – [not specifically related to the current discussion] , I know we all love our freedoms, but we also want to keep our shared values and ethics. As time passes, society gets more complicated and there are always people ready to defraud others in...

On a more philosophical topic – [not specifically related to the current discussion] , I know we all love our freedoms, but we also want to keep our shared values and ethics. As time passes, society gets more complicated and there are always people ready to defraud others in new ways that were not possible before. In order to uphold our shared values and ethics (“be fair”) we limit the freedom to the extent necessary to prevent abuses (“enforce the law”). Hence the need to regulate a large variety of actions and entities ("nobody is free to shoot their neighbor").
A more specific and current example: we would want to prevent big banks from lying and defrauding investors. (needless to say, Obama already faces fierce opposition to proposed financial reforms)
"Hey, I thought GWB was clearly trying to convert our constitutional democracy into a dictatorship (“just as long as he is the dictator”:-)" - I remember when he said that. I couldn't believe it, even as a joke. What a jerk.
"Medicare (no politician dares to touch it), Republicans fought tooth and nail to prevent passage and now it is an effective health insurance system that is affordable on the large scale needed for the US." - Not true. Medicare is bleeding red ink and is a major source of deficit spending. It's "affordable" to the beneficiaries, only because the taxpayer is getting reamed to finance the funding gap (i.e., the premiums are highly subsidized).
"VA (even more social, single payer, they administer benefits and hospitals and hire the doctors, etc), yes there are problems, but see if politicians on either side of the isle dare abolish it." - I'm not sure you can classify this as socialism, as it really is a fringe benefit for work (having served in the military).

"I am optimistic that a combination of individual and shared responsibility can work very well even in this country and that does not automatically mean that we will loose the freedoms granted by the US constitution." - In a limited sense I agree. I have no problem with federal government project spending, as long as the anticipated increase in the tax base resulting from the spending will result in a surplus for the government. Critical infrastructure is a good example. The government builds roads and bridges, and as a result businesses can grow around them, employ people, and generate tax revenue from company and employee earnings. As long as the anticipated incremental tax revenue more than offsets the project cost, it creates an incremental federal surplus, and reduces the national debt.
"we limit the freedom to the extent necessary to prevent abuses" - I agree with this. I am not a libertarian. But you don't need the nanny state to deter crime. You simply need to have punishment levels that are adequate to deter it.
"A more specific and current example: we would want to prevent big banks from lying and defrauding investors." - The best way to do this is to vigorously enforce laws related to capital levels, capital structure, and risk standards. We already have laws on the books in these areas, but Bush and Greenspan didn't enforce them. So we ended up with a gargantuan taxpayer funded bailout, that perversely encourages more speculation (grow like crazy at all costs to raise management bonuses, and when the operation goes bust, the taxpayer bails you out).
