SYLVESTER, Ga. (AP) -- Authorities say a Worth County woman may have been beaten to death with a hammer before her body was stuffed into a freezer.

The body of 55-year-old Linda White has been sent to the GBI Crime Lab in DeKalb County for an autopsy.

Her husband, 27-year-old Jacob White, has been charged with murder.

GBI special agent in charge Mike Lewis says authorities believe the woman may have been killed as early as last Tuesday.

Investigators said yesterday they were called to the White home three times January 21 for domestic disturbances.

Investigators say Jacob White has been cooperating with authorities. Jacob White told family members the freezer wasn't working and when they checked on it, they found White's body and contacted authorities.

Deputies with the Worth County Sheriff's Department were called to the home about 6 p.m. Friday.

UPDATE the guy was found guilty last week! He hasnt been sentenced yet but im sure he will be gone for life. I live in the town that this happened and knew both of them. he didnt marry her for money i promise you--neither of them had a pot to piss in. i hope he rots for what he did.

The guy's problem is he's mental. Sedate him... forever. Or better yet, beat him with a hammer and lock him in a freezer... while he's still alive. Murderers do not deserve humane treatment.

I have no idea what was in his head! Crazy people out there! What the hell was a 55 yr old doing w/a 27 yr old?! Well, they obviously didnt have much in common..having domestic disputes that the police had to be called.
Seems like he took the cowards way out. He could have just packed up and left her. You do NOT need to kill anybody! Just leave!
