You!

All over the news it's Obamacare this, healthcare law that. All over the blogs, it's repeal this because its a tax! Since it looks like everyone has become an expert on the subject, then let's have a go at it.

How would you reform our broken healthcare system? How would you make it more accessible for the poor and middle class? If Obamacare is repealed, then what will you replace it with? Where can we cut waste and improve efficiency? How are we going to pay for your plan? What about the current Medicare and Medicaid programs? How will it affect states with high immigration and poverty rates?

From Medicare for all, Universal health care, single-payer, etc..
I wanna know what you think. Vote right now and tell me why you chose that one, leave a comment, reply, share with everyone who is has/needs healthcare and don't forget to rave!!!!

Follow the countries that have universal healthcare. It works in these countries. In fact the US is the only country in the west that does not have it.Europe,Canada,Australia,New Zealand,England and others have had this system for countless decades and it works fine in those countries.

    Repeal and Replace!

Obamacare has been an abortion. We could have universal healthcare with 15 page proposal versus Obama's 2700 page bill and 13,000+ pages of rules and regulations.

First I would ask professionals in the industry. That's the one thing the dumbocrats never did.

You have to fully understand a problem in order to fix one.

They didn't bother to understand the problem.

Just start over. Where are all the free clinics? I think they are a terrific idea...and travelling doctors. Its a great way for MD's to do their internships. If you want to become a doctor in the U.S., one should have to 'service' work to America in the form of volunteering.

and in addition get rid of Michelles spending habits. We'd then be able to afford some serious medical attention for some needy individuals.

Well the health care was put together by republicans and democrats. This was not a one party thing and people are listening to sound bites and there is no facts in most sound bites. Sound bites Are used to cause confusion.

An Insurance pool would work, I think. I think we should start small and see how it goes, if we jump into this massive healthcare bill and it doesn't work we'll never be able to get rid of it.

Hit the wrong button again. Hate these stupid polls. That being said, I would lift regulations on factories to a minimum. I would create any situation necessary for Businesses to create jobs. I would get rid of ALL Unions. Put as many people back to work as possible and then start doing away with Welfare. Welfare recipients are the biggest drain on our Healthcare system of anything. Illegal Aliens, American Citizens that are too lazy to work. They are all leeches, that drain our society, of taxes, Healthcare, food. If a State wants Welfare, they can draw up their own plan
Put caps on what can be charged by Dr.s, Hosp., and therefore Ins Co.s. Dr.s and Hospitals charging exhorbitant rates is the reason for Ins rates so high.

How about NO waivers for any person or groups. I mean everyone...all politicans that is for sure. If we are required to purchase this folly then everyone should be included. Much more money would be raised.

What I meant was that if EVERONE had to purchase insurance (no exceptions) that there would be more money put in the system to take care of all patients.

If each person took care of their own Medical needs, there would be no need for a "system" to handle it. We have TOO many freeloaders. Welfare, Illegal Aliens, etc and WHY should the rest of us have to pay for their Medical. THAT is what is wrong with the system.

I just objected to the word system as it was used. It sounded too much like a Central system that pd the bills for us. We just all had to pay into that "SYSTEM"

As you say it, the system is the government trying to pay for everything. Pesos are not the currency the last time that I looked but our currency is lmost as worthless as pesos.

I think this Bill is a beginning and certainly it can be tweaked and improved. If the Republicans would do that instead of being hell bent on "tearing it up by its roots" as Boehner insists, without offering one alternative or solution themselves, perhaps we could get a handled on the rising costs, which themselves are driving up the increased premiums and care.

Let EVERY insurance Company compete in EVERY state in stead from now on! Because the MORE competition there is-the lower the rate of any kind of insurance!

Well so far the insurance companies are not competeting and that is the problem. The fact is some pay $21.00 in Massachuette with health care. That is what Obama patterned his health care plan after .

Most states like ours, have had TORT for years. There are caps on what a patient may sue for, even those who have a wrong kidney removed. How do you put a price on that?

There should be caps on what the Dr and Hospital can charge. My Husband had a Pacemaker put in. The Charge for that was $65,000.00. To me that is OUTRAGEOUS!!! And under Obamacare, he won't get another one, if that one breaks down.
  • Sissy Bevos 2012/07/03 13:14:30

Where do you get that information from?
  • Bevos Sissy 2012/07/03 14:26:48

From the Healthcare bill. Or were you talking about the cost of the Pacemaker?
  • Sissy Bevos 2012/07/03 16:54:48
    Sissy
Mostly where your husband will not be able to replace his Pacemaker? If you have insurance already and it covered it before, nothing is going to change. We can keep what we have. What you might want to consider, that if your insurance company as a result of paying for the pacemaker in the first place, previously before, they would be able to drop him, or raise your premiums and any other insurance company wouldn't have to take him because of a pre-existing condition.

That has all chanced now and none of that will not happen when the Plan takes effect in 2014,

In the first place, kudos to you for being able to understand what the dickens I wrote. Geesh, I re-read my reply to you and I had a hard time seeing my own point. LOL

The bottom line is simply that nothing will change for those of us who carry insurance. Those who have never bothered carrying insurance for whatever reason will be expected now to do so. That includes but not limited to those who use the ER for their doctor's visits and who cannot by law be turned away. That is where the penalty comes in. The result will be that billions of dollars of insured who carry the burden of the uninsured will hopefully drive down costs.

I understand more than you know what heart problems can do. My husband had an attack when he was 57 and had to be airlifted to a hospital while we were on vacation. We have always been able to have insurance and I shudder to think what we would be paying on, or losing had we not. I know its stressful because it never really leaves your mind.
