I'm giving the man a solid B.
He gets an A for preventing more terrorists’ attacks on our soil. He gets another A for not signing Kyoto. Heck, I'll give him another A for having to deal with the dimwits in Congress and the press. He gets yet another A for his Supreme Court nominations. Let me see, oh yea, how about another A for a nice landing on an aircraft carrier (ok, maybe that one is a B, he had some help).
So, IMO, why didn't he get an A?
He didn't pardon Scotter Libby or the 2 boarder agents that shot a drug smuggler.
He was easy on the dimowits in Congress and should have used his veto power much sooner than the last 2 years.
His energy and illegal immigration plans were below par.

Humans differ in their tendencies regarding establishment of "trust" and how they make that determination. Personally I tend to distrust those whom I have reason to think that they have lied to me or intentionally obscured relevant details of the truth.
Strictly speaking, George W. Bush himself may not have been the origin of the ideology nor the plans and tactics (or goal) regarding the second Iraq invasion, but he was the President during that period, so I hold him and his minions accountable.

Perhaps you are in the position to refute my statement about abandoning the SEC when they needed political support to do their job. Or would you rather send money to Jim Jones and have his people rein in Wall Street? Your choice, genius.

Worst of all, the debt incurred during the Bush Adminstration was on wasted spending. Investment that would have produced jobs, innovation, and new investment was not made. We became even more dependent on oil.
George W. Bush, did no good. In my subjective opinion, he is the 44th worst president of the US.
Spending needs to be cut in the departments you mention. Education is full of union mentality tenured teachers who don't teach and are schools are held hostage by a group of union thugs who don't give a damn about education other than teaching our children what's wrong with America rather than the overwhelming good that we do.
Halliburton, other than a French-owned Company, is the only contractor with the resources to rebuild a country's infrastructure and it made sense to contract with someone who is actually capable of completing the work.
You are correct on the wasteful spending Bush undertook, those that he compromised with the morons on the left such as Ted Kennedy (No child left behind)and you are completely ignorant of the true facts of Iraq's role with Al-Qaeda. READ the 9-11 Commission's report rather than rely on the liberal media's interpretation and you might be able to connect the dots--if you haven't con...

We will continue to lose jobs to overseas companies as long as it is more expensive to perform similar functions here at home. That's basic economics and your friends on the left don't get the fact that higher corporate tax rates and ridiculous union contracts CAUSE companies to look for cheaper alternatives. Take a basic economics course and you might get that concept as well.
Our country is now being run by morons such as you who think that everything about America is wrong unless we are placating our enemies and pretending to be friends with the socialists and communist regimes who want to destroy us. The radical Muslims don't care if we are democrat or republican--they want us all dead and you better wake up and realize that we need to hunt these people down throughout the world and KILL them before the kill us. That's what Bush did and it was a winning strategy. He WON the war in Iraq despite what you morons on the left like to spew out every night on the news. The world is a better place because of Bush and someday you might actually come to realize how well he performed in keeping our country safe.
Now we have yet another dupe in the white house and you will see the difference of a "law enforcement" approach to the war on terror versus a military approach. The later, pursued by Bush, will keep us safe while the alternative will allow our enemies to grow and prosper as they did while your favorite moron Bill Clinton chased interns rather than focusing on the surrounding threats. It is only a matter of time before the country comes running back to the Republicans to continue the battle.
Wake up! Educate yourself rather than watching the news. Try reading some alternative sources of material and you might learn the difference. Bush was by no means perfect and he did indeed have several significant failures, but history will reflect favorably on this man who put everything political and personal on the line for the betterment of the country. I give him an A for protecting us pursuing a winning strategy.
