What would you think if they government decided you were earning to much and decided to place a limit on how much you can earn? Let's say, for example, no more than $75,000 per couple (including domestic partnership agreements) and $35,000 per single person.

However, if the government wanted to raise my income to be more in line with a living wage. That would not be too bad.

I would be pissed off......we need to limit how much the government officials are paid and do away with the lifelong pensions.

They needn't do that. I will only earn what the employer is willing to pay for my skills, so I already have a limit that I imposed upon myself.

The govt. does limit your income. Taxes, fees, regulations, and nonstop printing of money limits your income.

The fact that we can make as much as we can in this country is why many come here. We are free to accomplish great things here if we work hard. So many are relying on the government to survive these days. We need to get back to a freer America. We need to get back to our roots.

The ones who are complaining about the rich being too rich are the ones who are too lazy to get off their behinds and do something for themselves. As long as they aren't willing to work hard and better themselves, they will never be successful.

They give it with one hand and take it away with the other. There was no raise for SS for 3 years but once they finally get around to giving a raise, they take up most of it by hiking up medicare.

Wiped me out of any income, after medicare I'm left with $82.00. Of that I must spend 41.00 on my blood pressure meds. Good thing most of my kids still live at home or I'd be hungry. :-)

They're doing that now. People who are on Social Security can only earn so much extra until after 66 1/2. If I were in business and they limited my income, I would move to another country. We were the greatest country in the world, could build anything anywhere and now we can't even balance the books.
