I have to say my household income has dropped, due to loss of job, 2 times. Rising costs in food, gas, taxes, meds, ins. We are at a breaking point. We are now deciding, do we sell the house and reduce our lifestyles or do we hang on and try to ride the wave. Personally, I think we will be suffering for several more years.

My income's buying power has dropped a percentage equal to the rate of inflation. We have been earning the same salary for 5 years now. I'm not complaining, though. At least I have a job.

I hear your story over and over again. It is nice to hear that people are glad they still have a job. So many are out of work.

I made $10,000 less this year than last year. I was laid off and took another job. I'm making a little more per hour but I'm working a lot less hours.

It held almost steady for two and then went up with the improving job market, so ignoring the fabulous new job that the wife got, about -3%.

My income has stayed the same. Now my shares have gotten better. In 2008 they took a tank and now they're back to normal. So yes, I'm better off.

in the past 26-months our business is up 48% and we have hired some 5-more full time and 3-part time employees, if this trend continues we are going to expand the shop and garage area to an additional 6200 sq. feet, by purchasing the lot next to us and building on it this summer.

My income has gone up, but it has more to do with the nature of the software industry rather than anything Obama has affected.

For some reason we haven't felt the effects as much as other industries. I don't know why that is.

well that's a good thing! Conservative or other, I want Americans to succeed.
Well not if it tramples on others. Anyway, glad you weren't effected
