Ron Paul is the only politician - of either major party - in whom I place any trust, esteem, or respect at all. Unfortunately, since he can't be bought, the opinion molders have done all they can to demonize him, marginalize him, and assassinate his character. If you can gauge the health of a political system by how its most scrupulous and upstanding figures are treated in the public eye, this country is in a great deal of trouble.

Only because he is going to be the Republican Candidate. Any third party vote will help Obama. If you vote for a third party candidate, don't come running to me if Obama gets re-elected. I'll just give you a big I told you so.

Personally, I am tired of those that have never even been in the position of the middle class, as well as those that do not truly understand economics, and are not open to educated positions being the highest representative of the people. RP all the way

Okay Einstein! Bet you never thought every vote for the loser Romney is a vote for Obama! If nobody likes the guy and are holding their nose to get Obama out, what sense does that make?! Don't bother answering, I don't handle ignorance well.

Everyone brace for 4 more years under the Obama administration. Why, you ask? Easy! Because the G.O.P. will crap all over Ron Paul and his "crazy" supporters and we will vow to never vote Mitt Romney. Simple. But I will not compromise on my principles. Mitt Romney is just as bad as Obama. So in actuality if I don't write Ron Paul in, THEN I would be throwing my vote away to someone undeserving of my support.

You're not watching the poll are you? Most of us are going for Gary if Ron doesn't get nomination. If you think that all of the Paul supporters are on sodahead you are mistaken. We are just a small percentage, if anything Gary Johnson will win. we out number Obama and Romney supporters by far!

On Soda Head. You know as well as I do that this place isn't representative of the American public, so I still ask what's the point? And I still haven't received one good answer as to why any gay American should vote for Ron Paul, now or ever. Gary Johnson is even more irrelevant to this election than Paul, when he will receive less than 1% of the vote.

Boy, you say? So are you a homosexual bigot? That is a first for me, so thank YOU sir! It seems you make the mistake of thinking I'm doing it for Obama. Surely you are not that ignorant so I'll take your last comment in jest. I am simply pointing out an enevitability based on the G.O.P.'s reluctance to part ways with the social conservatives and get back to its libertarian roots. I'll take it one step further. I'm actually quite glad Obama was elected in '08 because if McCain had won the country would look about the same, but nobody would complain because of that little "R" beside his name. I am a registered Republican because they, at least for now, have someone 'different' on the ballot (read: Ron Paul). But I am not another idiotic lamb that justifies everything the leader of the party does in the name of defending the party and why I would vote for them. And watch the "boy" stuff, ok? The Liberals on the site might take offense. ;)

You ever heard of sarcasm. That should have been apparent.
Why does standing up for my rights against people who wish to take them away from me make ME bigot? That remark reminds me of all those born again ,persecuting Christians who spend millions to fight against gay rights and then call us bigots because we believe in separation of church and state , and believe they have no right to stand in our way. WTF are you talking about?
Why would I ever support a candidate like Paul who thinks it's perfectly acceptable for one state to deny me the same civil rights another state has given me. The last time I looked I was a citizen of the USA, not a citizen of a state, and entitled to the same rights in ALL states , not just some of them. I also will not support Paul because he wants to remove the social safety net, and I will not be party to allowing the disabled and the elderly and children to suffer the consequences of those
policies. I will also not be part of his attempt to prevent a woman from keeping the right to choose because of his narrow minded, born again Christian beliefs. I've researched Paul over and over over the years and I find his solutions hair brained and unpalatable. I won't support a candidate just because I agree with 2 or 3 policies out of many. Your ridiculo...

Your ridiculous assumption that I support Obama because I'm some damned sheep is ludicrous in the extreme. I'm an adult. I know what policies I support and which ones I don't . Republican policies are anathema to everything I
believe in. Libertarian policies are untried, ill conceived and will never be accepted by the majority of the American people. Obama has had gay people's back and now we have his. Your outrageous accusation about being a homosexual bigot is ludicrous.

Well in another post; I mentioned that from a stratigic point of view; they should nominate RP.

Because; most of us, will not vote for Mitt; where as most of them will vote for RP, because they are stuck on the "anyone but obama"

I say, they should put that into practice and put RP up for nomination; worst case, they pick up 10-15% of the vote that they would loose otherwise.
