    They are pro choice, completely negating any chance that I would affiliate despite their many good positions.

    Not all libertarians are pro-choice. Ron Paul and Judge Andrew Napolitano, for example.

    On an individual basis there may be some Libertarians who are not pro-choice, but (last time that I checked) the party itself is. I went through their official stands (the party "planks") a few years ago, and though I forget the exact wording it was, essentially, pro-choice.

    The republican party left me. I like being independent and I'll support any true conservative, except a Democrat. Not that I wouldn't like a conservative democrat - but I won't support anyone who will keep Pelosi and Reid in power.
