-The record for the longest period without sleep is 18 days, 21 hours, 40 minutes during a rocking chair marathon. The record holder reported hallucinations, paranoia, blurred vision, slurred speech and memory and concentration lapses.
- It's impossible to tell if someone is really awake without close medical supervision. People can take cat naps with their eyes open without even being aware of it.
- Anything less than five minutes to fall asleep at night means you're sleep deprived. The ideal is between 10 and 15 minutes, meaning you're still tired enough to sleep deeply, but not so exhausted you feel sleepy by day.

Sometimes you have a sadistic person in charge.
I was pretty messed up and needed I/P intervention ASAP to "cleanse" my mind and body!!!! I am better but still have sleep disorders.
but i know my human body cant go a day without sleep.
i love to sleep!

But I do know how long MY human body can go without sleep. About 15 hours, and then I start getting ... not me.
I'd love to try the old Cosmo Kramer 20 minute naps every hour all day long.......Hahahaha
I experienced not sleeping 24 hours straight to finish my thesis presentation and I felt really really weak..=P)
