How is this going to affect the price of tea we borrow from China? Part II

Political Gridlock

It is very possible that in 10 days the taxes of 16,000,000 Americans could be raised by about $1,000. House Republicans shot down the payroll tax cut that only less than a week ago they all seemed on board for. Now Boehner, Cantor and the Congress have essentially washed their hands and are leaving for the Holidays. Nancy Pelosi wasted no time what so ever laying the blame directly on the Tea Party saying “They alone are standing in the way of a tax cut for the middle class.” In a statement today Speaker Boehner yesterday stated that Congress had done it’s job, and now it is the Senates job to go into conference and settle this bill. However, Senator Harry Reid contradicts that statement pointing out that, the bill was approved with overwhelming support 89-10, which is a level of agreement that is scarce in today’s present state of political gridlock and brinksmanship.
Earlier Yesterday Eric Cantor was on Andrea Mitchell reports on MSNBC speaking of uncertainty. The only thing that is uncertain is the rhetoric of congress’ message and belief system when it comes to its people. John Boehner on Friday of last week stated that the 2 month extension of the payroll tax though a temporary fix was a bill he could “live with!” However only two short days later He went on meet the press stating that this would be “punting” What Speaker Boehner is neglecting in his metaphor is that when a ball is punted, it is returned which doesn’t seem to be the case. The Tea Party doesn’t want to Punt because they don’t want to release the ball they just want to keep hold of it and drive it to the next election. Another glaring bit of inconsistency is that when it came to raising the taxes of the wealthiest of us Approximately 345,000 Americans or (Job Creators) The statement was In a bad Economy the worst idea is to raise taxes. Now when it comes to the taxes of the taxes of 160,000,000 of the most vulnerable Americans Sorry it’s Christmas! So what is it Congress are you on the side of the Country or just the Country Clubbers?
Is it any wonder why the congressional approval rating has dipped to 11%which is the lowest approval rating in history. Congress currently holds the worst productivity level in most peoples lifetimes and the worst filibuster record in history is it any surprise that the approval for congress is below that of Fidel Castro, Paris Hilton, The Media & Lawyers. Does their appeal really have to drop lower than that of a Child Molesters before they decide to act like a body of Government.
The worst part about this is if these tax increases go through. And the little bit of economic recovery is completely devastated it will be congressional amnesia that will swear that they fought for the middle class but the Big Bad Obama Bear raised your taxes.

If this is to be blamed on the TEA PARTY then I salute them !!!
Pass a Bill or Don't , But don''t play pussy foot for two months.
The senate failed to stick around and deal with things, ran away for vacation .
Thank the democrats every time you pay more taxes.

The reason why they were going to pussy foot for two months is that House G.O.P. kept adding unrelated, disagreeable projects to the bill. The extension was put in place so that taxes wouldn't go up and that the beloved conference would be over Grover Norquists Keystone Pipeline.

I don't think anyone in the country is happy with the way the games are played . Until the entire stock of career politicians are flushed out . This is the way it will continue . Each bill should be single issue , up or down on it's own merits . Every single one that votes should be forced to read every bill before it can be voted on.

I could not agree more. It seems so common sense. Yet it seems like the notion would take forever to be understood by our current state of politicians.

This is a case of both houses playing games so they can blame the other house. First the working class tax cut/holiday was robbing from the former working class or Social Security, driving it closer to the false insolvency. I say false because that isnt real either, what it is, is a case of the government having to pay back the IOUs they made to the people. All the Tax Holiday has done is moved the date when that happens closer, so now both sides of the aisle are going to make a crisis to divert the attention from the fact that they have robbed us blind. Anytime the government is in crisis mode means watch what they are actually doing.
Also there was something that the Senators from NV did not want in there and, that was the prohibition of the use of assistance being used for gambling. Also extending a Tax Cut for two months has never been the rule, if people cant see that this was merely a ploy to try and make the other house look bad, then I weep for our nation. The Senate has not moved this fast on modifying or passing a bill in years.

I'm probably wrong but the last thing that both houses seemed to agree on was avoiding a shut down. B/C God forbid their underlings weren't there to get their coffee and $16 muffins for them.

Yes but the Senate has yet to clear any bills besides that with this type of speed. Hell they are still arguing over bills from earlier in the year.

Which is why the extension looked like a frustrating light at the end of the tunnel.

Well what it is, is the Congressthings playing their normal screw with the peoples games. Instead the whole current tax system should be scrapped and changed to something where the people lives are not dependent upon whether the Congress will allow us to keep more of our money. They use this as a form of control, it is a form of Indentured Servitude or slavery. Both houses know they can get away with this because they hold all of the power.

A couple of years ago I would have dismissed that notion and said calm down with the conspiracy theories. But over the last couple of years the things that I've looked up, It really does look like we're the baby birds, and the government is feeding us just enough to shut us up. the only difference is Mamma bird does it because she loves her baby birds, The Government does it so we live long enough to collect our taxes.

We Im one of those people your mother and the government warned you about. They just call us Conspiracy Nuts/ Tin Foil Fashionistas. I prefer to see it as a well informed truth seeker and giver. I have been warning about this since the 70s.

Here's the thing... they way things play out when the story concludes. I have 1 of two theories
    1. The conspiracy theorists were actually receiving good intel with those tin foil hats
    2. Initially the conspiracy wasn't true but someone in Government heard it and said... "That is a great idea."

BTW here is a good little book in PDF. It is one of the books that got me started on the road to truth, written in 71, see how many of the predictions are playing out.

The other book is None Dare Call it Treason but is unfortunately not available in PDF. Written in 64 and about the establishment of the Federal Reserve among other things and how it would affect the country.

Well then that must mean that Obama is the secret G.O.P. Nominee. Other Republicans are speaking out against this Strategy. How did Obama pull that one off.
