How do you picture your funeral? Is it important for you to have people mourn your death?

Dogg ~ Ready for war 2008/04/04 01:21:47I Would Say...+9I already asked my clan and friends not to morn my passing but throw a party . and enjoy life. Death is a very big part of life. and we only fear it becasue we don't know anything about it. but those who love combat and the thrill of the unknown is something to look forward to not to be feared.

I just can't see a traditional funeral for me, and would not wish that on anyone! lol
If my family wants to hold a memorial service, that is up to them, and I will leave it at that. For now, as i have at least 40-50 more years of POSSIBLE life left yet. AS the Maker wishes, I will go when He decides it is time, as no one can change the Maker's mind at this point.
When The Stars Burn Down (Blessing and Honor)
by Phillips Craig & Dean
Verse 1:
When the stars burn down and the earth wears out
And we stand before the throne
With the witnesses who have gone before
We will rise and all applaud
Chorus:
Singing blessing and honor and glory and power
Forever to our God
Singing blessing and honor and glory and power
Forever to our God
Verse 2:
When the hands of time wind fully down
And the earth is rolled up like a scroll
The trumpets will call and the world will fall
To its knees as we all go home
Bridge:

There will come a day standing face to face
In a moment, we will be like Him

2Cor:5:7: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
2Cor:5:8: We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
Might sound better in polish.
I'd like to be there all dressed up to the nines, nice smelling pretty flowers all around me, lying there in my casket waiting to see who comes to visit me. I'd love to hear what they'd have to say about me, then I'd reach out and scare the crap out of all the people I didn't like so much.
Maybe I need to work on this.
And I would say that I wanted to be cremated, but I freaking hate fire, so maybe someone can sink my body down into the ocean. That would be epic. Or someone could bury me with a tree (weeping willow, magnolia, or birch) planted over me.
Hire a rock band, tap a keg, and celebrate the fact that YOU'RE STILL ALIVE!
