He does not literally pay less but it is in proportion to their income. This is true of anyone making a lot of money. There are many tax loopholes that anyone can take advantage of but the more you make the bigger the savings.

That's easy to understand, for one she is not entitled to loopholes that her boss is and for another she is honest.

LOL. Just shows that we definitely need a fairer system for funding our Federal Government.

Well, I assume we will when it's finally filed. Makes no difference --- the tax laws are the tax laws. As I said, we need to redo the tax code and that's been said for over a decade. But Congress doesn't have the balls to address the issue. Sad isn't it!

Maybe his secretary is paid a higher salary. Your president only earns $260,000 or so I think.

Actually, he gets $400,000. It was increased to that level from $200,000 in 2001. But it's still a pittance relative the responsibilities the job entails, especially when you consider that CEOs in the private sector are paid millions.

The UK prime minster is also paid under $300,000 for pretty much the same role >.<; Clearly it isn't money they're after.

Our Prime Minister's salary has just been raised to $481,000, which is also ridiculously low. But, yes, there are other compensations both during and after their terms in office.

Our PM's get a large pension, a government car and driver, an office in their nearest capital city, free national and international travel entitlements, all for life.

Obama doesn't set the tax rates, although he's on record for supporting the Buffet rule which would attempt to fix this general problem.
