Is it by taxing companies that ship jobs overseas? Is it by lowering taxes and attracting investments and capital back here? Do we need to re-negotiate trade agreements to be more competitive? Is it more investment in Education and Technology? More taxpayer subsidies for certain industries? Could it simply be global market forces at work forcing our evolution? Lower taxes, make it easier for businesses, etc. Make America a business friendly nation again and companies will have no reason to run away.

No, not necessarily public jobs. There are different sources of income....manufacturing, tourism, retail, mining, etc. If you can't compete with manufacturing (although I think you're better off than you realise in that department) then do something else.

Also, China already bailed you out.

By electing your representatives (local and federal) based on business experience in a private sector minus lawyers and accountants, rather than on sweet talk and promises.
If your car breaks down and you know nothing about cars but where the wheels and engine is, where do you go for help? Yellow pages and believe the biggest ad there is or ask your neighbor and friend for referral?
You want jobs in America? You want growth in America? You want prosperity in America?
Stop electing lawyers and carrier politicians into offices.
Just because someone has a law degree and bar certification, just because someone has a elite school degree doesn't mean that this person is smart on how to get back on the path to prosperity.
Recent example - Elizabeth Warren and Barack Obama.
None of these people even licked what a privately own business is. The closest encounter with privately own business was that they tanked their cars on a franchised gas station and maybe bought a drink and a meal from privately owned restaurant or stayed in a hotel room. That is all. All that their took from their endeavor with private business was that the people who served them were nice and should have been paid more, even though they do not know how much they have been paid.

this video does not make a point for anyone who is new to any of the concepts presented / nor does it talk about any thing we can do to get out from under the layers of government we suffer under and for -
City , County , State and Federal those are the bosses we slave for - TRUE! Between them they spent 7 trillion dollars last year and all of it comes from the productive economy ...government does not create any of our wealth so they are spending money we make -

That wasn't the plan, when made. It was merely a very short narrative of the problem for folk to go and research the info included. In that research, solutions will present themselves.

I agree with everything but the trade schools. State government okay, but the Fed govt. needs to get the hell out of education. And everything else they are not supposed to be in.

i would say if gov't just gave them the money based on graduation rates and increasing job rates from their students then that would be OK... but the gov't will come in and tell them they need to do this and this and this which usually doesnt improve anything or make matters worse

Right if you accept money from them that gives them control and we need them to stay out. That is a state thing, the Federal government should not be in anything that the states take care of. They are supposed to be for defense and and infrastructure, but I think we all know that they have become way too big and a corporation to boot. This is what we the people have to change.

I agree the FED has crewed up the education system (perverted it into a $$$ making machine for Democrats) but we will never kill that beast ! Its just to dam big and far to powerful ...they turned from teaching skills to teaching "diversity" two generations ago now we have a nation full of idiots with heads full of fluff - You can point at the educational system for who is to blame for dividing this nation-

You are right there, it is all the plan to dumb down the Americans and they have done a bang up job. If people are incapable of critical thinking the government must step in and think for them. It is not too big to be taken down, they have already started and they are all getting scared, so we have to stick to our guns, that's all.

And few from the left or the right see what is going on ...sure they saw the Eric Holder thing but did anyone notice the closing speech at the G20 ??? Obama thanked Mexico for its economic leadership in solving the EU crises ...advice on the economy from Mexico??? the EU is fixed ??? LOL

agreed but we have no power - we have to but food and energy and if you look at the GDP that is pretty much all the government needs to keep us in chains . I am down to buying only what I have to but the cost than ks to inflation (real inflation not what the Whitehouse is saying) I am spending as much as i was spending back when I believed in the economy ...I just have far less to show for it !

Tell the suckers to support America in all things, or take their company and get out. And while thay are at it, don't send there products into our ports because their product is banned. However, if they do, it will be confiscated as contraband.

Unions overpriced the workers they represented and the government sucked the companies dry with taxes and regulations. Now nobody wanted this very expensive American made widget because they could get a widget cheaper that was made in China.

As a corporate controller, I can promise you that just because the income statement shows a profit of $4 billion, doesn't mean that $4 billion is sitting in the bank. You would have to see their Statement of Cash Flows to determine in which direction the company is headed. Granted, corporate big cats make enormous salaries but it's perfectly legal.

Lower wages. The Government lower taxes 50 % and a few other encouragements. Ths was due to the Democrat imposition of the first super taxes. Look what Obama did to Gibson Guitars. They have been ruined and tuirned into cheap trash.

Reduce significantly extraneous and senseless government regulations and interference in business.
Estimates are as high as $32,000 dollars per employee for government compliance in some businesses .
Many of the " Employee rights " merely translate as a reason to shut business down or more away.

Lowering taxes is definetly one thing that needs to happen. Some others would be to end bailouts of companies that are "too big to fail." That would open up opportunities for smaller firms to take up market share that will be more responsible and hire locally. More education is always a good thing, but we need to stop stressing college for all. Apprenticeships, OJT, technical schools, military training, and many others open doors for good careers that are needed, without the heavy debt associated with college. Union regulations need to be reevaluated. When done right, unions are a wonderful thing to gain workers' rights when facing a large corporation or many small businesses that are allied, but with current union regs, they sometimes take too much power and start to hurt the economy instead. There are many more, but I'll leave it at that for now, since those are the biggest ones I can think of right now.

Stop Fundamentalist Christians from sabotaging public school science education, so American workers can technically compete with foreign labor and industry.

And reduce regulations by 80%. The regulation codes are so massive there is no way to follow all of them.

Side note I think we should make a federal law that automatically tariffs countries at the exact same rate they tariff us.
