Only 49 more states to go!!!!!!!

Hooray for Florida !

I-95 and I-75 will be jammed for the next month or so with druggies and deadbeats heading North out of Florida, because this is the first state in the union to require drug testing to receive welfare!

Hooray for Florida ! In signing the new law, Republican Gov. Rick Scott said, "If Floridians want welfare, they better make sure they are drug-free."

Applicants must pay for the drug test, but are reimbursed if they test drug-free. Applicants who test positive for illicit substances won't be eligible for the funds for a year, or until they undergo treatment. Those who fail a second time will be banned from receiving funds for three years!

Naturally, a few people are crying this is unconstitutional.
How is this unconstitutional? It's a legal requirement that every person applying for a job has to pass drug tests in order to get the job, why not those who receive welfare?

Let's get welfare back to the ones who need it, not to those who won't get a job.
I AGREE, DO YOU?

You!

Conservatives are the independent thinkers. Liberal are zombies that follow whatever the mainstream media feeds to them. Bush lied kids died. Man-made CO2 is the only explanation for this environmental data. Calling Obama a socialist is just a replacement for the "n" word. You will believe anything they tell you. There is no room for independent thought among liberals

WHAT A LAUGH! CONSERVATARDS? INDEPENDENT THINKERS?
    hah…ahahah…ahahahahahha…bwaha...
(the author must take a break to catch his breath)
    Okay, I'm better now.
If there is one thing I have learned in 36 years of teaching Political Science
it's that Conservatives are merely tourists in the intellectual world. They visit the attractions and the hot spots and go away without any real knowledge of the destinations origins , people or way of life. Their curiosity is limited, they rarely think beyond whatever they were indoctrinated with as a child, and are terrified, to the point of immbobility, by anything outside the realm of their own experience.
Every advance of the Twentieth Century in social, economic and foreign policy was a result of liberal philosophy and conservative theory had almost no lasting impact on the every day lives of the American people. Conservatism had been a monumental failure of epic proportions. But you keep believing the opposite if it makes you feel better.

What a sad sad comment that is on our teachers today. You probably believe everything you were told to believe about Reagan too.

I lived through Reagan and experienced first hand his senility, lack of concern for those dying of AIDS, through the denial of Federal funding to state medical institutions throwing hundreds of thousands of mentally ill into the streets of our urban centers, his illegality with Iran Contra and much , much more. I needed no one to teach me the horrors of Reagan, every day was Halloween with Ronnie Raygun. Take your hero worship and eat it. Ronnie was a buffoon with rouge on his cheeks and no heart.
Not everyone believes the conservatard revisionist history of the past few years, only you Cons. The history books reflect otherwise.

I too lived through the Reagan years. That's how I recognize the lies told by the history books of today. My knowledge is from personal experience not the lies told by liberal media outlets. If you're so informed on Reagan, then tell me what crime he committed in Iran Contra.

They aren't lies. You're just an unrelenting Con who not only refuses to recognize fact, you choose to rewrite history. I have no tolerance for political ideologues of either side. I'm a pragmatist, pretending what was so, was not so , is one of the side effects of
being a slave to the right. Enjoy rattling you chains and remaining completely neutered politically by your inability to recognize reality, and to even recognize the word "compromise."

Yes they are. I know what happened in Iran-Conta. I watched the hearings on C-Span. I also read the lies told about what had happened in those hearings in the Newspaper and News-magazines. Recently, I have also read the selectively-edited versions in College texts that misrepresent the affair.
I don't believe that Reagan was a saint, and I don't agree with any negotiation with terrorists. This is not about portraying Reagan as perfect. This is about the Left revising the events I witnessed with my own eyes.

So, you believe that Reagan had nothing to do with the end of the Cold War and nothing to do with the dramatic recovery of the U.S. economy by his second year in office.

Standing in front of a wall and saying tear it down had nothing to do with it. The first Bush had more influence than that Alzheimer ridden fool did. But it was Boris Yeltsin who really did it. Trickle down was a crock and still is. It's never worked, never, and never will. So, no and no.

Declassified Soviet documents have shown how Reagan's influence helped to end the Cold War. The USSR was under tremendous financial pressure from trying to keep up with Reagan's defense buildup, deployment of missiles in Europe, and his proposed Strategic Defense Initiative. This is fact. Look it up.

Economy: The numbers tell the story. You can lookup the statistics on your own, but under Reagan the Unemployment Rate went from about 11% to under 6%, the GDP grew, and inflation went down, the value of the U.S. dollar against other major currencies rose by double digits etc etc... To try and say Reagan had no influence on these events is ignorant at best.

Yes.. I agree... if you can come up with the bucks to buy illegal drugs I don't think you have a money problem. The problem is that many people on disability take powerful pain drugs which will show up in a urine test..... The potential is there to clean up the welfare roles but I'm concerned that the cheats will find a way around the test (with the help of lawyers) and the non cheats on legal prescriptions will be hurt.

And Obamacare is defanged. Can't force states to enlarge medicare, and the threat of defunding states of Medicare funds overruled. Remember, if states don't expand their rolls, Obamacare doesn't happen ;-) Oh, if you don't pay the so called mandate, there's no penalty.

Sure, I'll bet. They aren't stupid, the fed taking it for 2 years while their taxpayers get stuck with a huge bill every year thereafter? The 26 states that sued don't want it, an there are many more. Socialist "progressive" states like CA and NY might take it, but unless they ALL take it, Obamacare is dead. That's why they used a hammer of taking medicare from an y state that didn't comply with their whim. They lost.

They'll take it, just wait. No state turns down free money unless their Republican Governor has Presidential ambitions. The public has already turned in favor of the Supreme Court ruling. You really must learn to keep up. Gallop, look it up.

Occum's razor, 26 states sued and many others agreed with the suit. LOL, umm, no, now the people are even more galvanized to repeal the law entirely. Obamacare has been defanged, use of the commerse clause was overruled. The public has learned it's a TAX, something Obama and posse insisted it wasn't. SCOTUS, look it up ;-)

Since you and all Cons are masters of self delusion, you just keep right on believing whatever you want. One could spend hours explaining why every word you just
said are the ravings on one who cannot face the reality that you've lost. Obamacare will never be repealed. Your leaders are lying to you and blowing smoke up your ass. Apparently you like it, so enjoy. In the interim millions of people will finally have health care in 2 years and will no longer be a drain on our insurance costs and premiums.
Only a Con would be unhappy that people will receive desperately needed care, and then you wonder why we accuse you of having no hearts.
See ya round Cruella Deville . sdcn
