Only 49 more states to go!!!!!!!

Hooray for Florida !


I-95 and I-75 will be jammed for the next month or so with druggies and deadbeats heading North out of Florida, because this is the first state in the union to require drug testing to receive welfare!

Hooray for Florida ! In signing the new law, Republican Gov. Rick Scott said, "If Floridians want welfare, they better make sure they are drug-free."

Applicants must pay for the drug test, but are reimbursed if they test drug-free. Applicants who test positive for illicit substances won't be eligible for the funds for a year, or until they undergo treatment. Those who fail a second time will be banned from receiving funds for three years!

Naturally, a few people are crying this is unconstitutional.
How is this unconstitutional? It's a legal requirement that every person applying for a job has to pass drug tests in order to get the job, why not those who receive welfare?


Let's get welfare back to the ones who need it, not to those who won't get a job.

    This is good. Doing illegal drugs is against the law. If the government is going to support you then you should at least be complying with their laws. If you are then you have nothing to worry about or protest. Only those who are afraid of testing positive for drugs need to be worried or arguing against this law. My advice....get clean or find someone else to support you. Temporary is hardly the case anymore and in my experience I have seen many people make a career out of drawing welfare. I supported 3 children by myself without any government assistance. Where there's a will there's a way. We just need to grow up and be responsible for our own lives. Too many are not.

    If I have to do a drug test to get a job so that my taxes ( 1/3 of my check- which I can dearly use ) can go to oay for welfare, then they can do a drug test to sit on their butts ,collect checks & do nothing. ...

    Personally I am tired of seeing all the meth heads getting welfare and then their innocent victims, their offspring often having problems, which means they get ssid too. the baby business is big in my county so are the slum lords!

    I think it's great. There should be stringent requirements for getting government assistance. If you can afford to use drugs then you shouldn't need any assistance.

    Look up the facts - WHO's COMPASSIONATE! Republicans donate THREE times that of Democrats. Biden gives 1.4% of his income. WOW! That's right, Democrats just believe in using everyone else's money, then use words to sound good. Try real action. Democrats won't give kids a choice of schools (they pander to labor unions), but will use their choice to take an 9 month old baby from the wound, except the head and put a spike into the neck, kill it and call it a choice - late term abortion is murder - who's compassionate. You guys are all bought off with simply words and don't look past the surface. You support big government which has done WAY more damage than big corporation. At least corporations don't try and tell everyone how to live their lives, you can quit.

    NOW if Holder just get's off Gov. Scott's back....and we are able to purge our voting rolls
    of all the dead people, illegal immigrants, and people's pets.....we'll be back on the right track..... It really is a nice place to live....

    You'll have to take it up with politicians who subsist on campaign contributions from those farmers and oil companies about requiring drug testing with their subsidies. At least they produce goods for the rest of us unlike drug abusing welfare recipients.
    I don't care for the way government works either. But my legitimate dissent as a responsible citizen isn't whining which sounds like something more applicable to your experience.

    You do not know what my experience is ... do not assume that is your opinion what those companies that you want to give a pass to contribute to America ... they get paid not to contribute but to preserve their land ... look it up dude then perhaps we can have a conversation with substance.
