The United States Department of Homeland Security has a new marketing campaign and it is a bit out of the box. According to the Associated Press, Homeland Security has issued a "zombie warning," which is really a
funky way of telling Americans to stock up on plenty of food, water, batteries, flashlights, etc. In other words, be ready for anything--even
zombies.
Officials behind the zombie alert hope that the campaign will lead to better preparedness for more typical disasters like hurricanes and earthquakes. Apparently, the zombie approach is not that
unconventional, as the Centers of Disease Control did a similar campaign last year. The zombie campaign has gotten attention, but it has been more humorous than anything.
Any Homeland Security threat should be taken seriously but the zombie alert while unique, might be too corny for some to
listen to intently. There may or may not be real zombies out there, but like Homeland Security says, it's best to be prepared for anything.
Can never be too prepared for the zombie apocalypse :)
And just like every other form of media that desensitizes people, they are making fun of the zombie apocalypse preppers. When there is panic and hunger...the O-blivios zombies that ignored our warnings of the socialism/communism in our country and the economic collapse/civil war will come looking for the hand-outs from the ones who had the BRAINS to prepare. Aka...the typical liberal.
INANE
insipid
Idiotic ..
INSULTING to one's intelligence
(I do believe the ones who set up this marketing campaign should be told these words .. )
"GROW UP ALREADY" ..
They need to put down the gaming controllers
walk away from the stupidity of microsecond video game systems ..
and start living in the REAL WORLD ..
They LOST all credibility when they attached this to a ZOMBIE Campaign ..
Do you know how many polls and questions there are aboult politics? Go into the search bar and type in these words; Obama, Romney, and the actual word politics. When I typed them in, these were the results;
Pages on Obama-
Pages on Romney-
Pages on Politics-
With those few thousand pages on politic bullsh*t, why would you take something fun like this so seriously and rage about politics? Please, save that crap for more relative questions.
What I wanted to say before scolling though, is that this is a good idea. Sure, people will joke about it, but it would get people prepared for real-life situations that could actually happen, like hurricanes and stuff. So you know what? I say 'Go ahead, and good move'.
Apparently, they do feel the need to tell them how to protect their families, or they wouldn't have done what they did. And I'm betting most people do know HOW to protect themselves -in fact- I'd be surprised if they didn't. But, that doesn't mean they ARE protecting themselves. They're using things like this 'Zombie Alert' to make it fun or something along those lines. It's probably aimed at the younger generation, especially with shows like 'The Walking Dead' and stuff beginning to rise in popularity. God, I wish I could use italics instead of caps
Have you, you know, scrolled through the responses to this? Because if you did, you'd see how seriously people are taking this. They really are, or they don't understand it, and get angry because they misunderstood.
And no, I'm not an 'attention whore', you're just insolent. I used that picture because I liked it, and because I wanted to, so you know what? Shove it up your arse. Cause really?
Side note, does that mean -going by your logic- that you're an attention whore too? Because you also used pictures in your response? I'm just curious
