I shop at Home Depot because after many visits to both, I find they have a wider selection to choose from. When it comes to price I want the best deal possible, but I'm not afraid to buy the most expensive if I feel it's the best quality.

I shop Home Depot because I need hardware, and I find it and good service there, as well as better prices. I do not choose where I shop based on someone else's political positions because, as is the case here, it is based on ignorance rather than on facts.

Other than the same-sex marriage, I would not say that these are politically-correct agendas. Check your network news and CNN for what is PC these days. But I care nothing for politics.

I do like Home Depot much better than Lowes because their prices are cheaper and they have a better selection of stuff. I always find lots of things I like at HD, and find the staff to be friendly and helpful; at Lowes, not so much.

At both stores, though, they freaking aggravate me asking if they can help me find something every time they see me. No, I did not need help the last two or three times we saw each other and I don't need it this time either. Take a hint: if I need something I will ask you. I hate that.

Competition always gets things done. I live closer to a Lowes but Home Depot is often on my way. Usually depends on price. I will say Home Depot's customer service is better than Lowe's though.

I've always gone to Lowes. I didn't know this about Home Depot though. I shop at Lowes because the store is better organized and closer to my house. Home Depot is always a mess and i cant find anything in that store. The above information makes me happy I have been a patron of Lowes for many years..

There are several products that I won't buy at Lowe's. We completely redid the kitchen last year, and I was already boycotting GE. No GE appliance in this house.

Immelt virtually gutted GE and 0bama has pulled them out. I don't expect GE to survive, if 0bama fails to be re-elected. All the sweetheart deals will wither away.

I actually needed a part and went to Lowes. It was a GE part and the very nice salesperson understood when I had to put the part back on the shelf. I felt terrible for this very nice young man but he smiled and told me he completely understood where I was coming from and then told me where a local hardware store was.

That is why I love to shop there. If they can't help me directly, they can point me to where I need to be. I suspect it is a company policy. It certainly keeps me going back. I still go to HD for Ballard locks and parts because all the locks at my house are Ballard's. HD also carries many of my irrigation systems parts that I cannot find at Lowe's..
