His young daughter had cancer, Wells Fargo fires him for not filling out a time sheet correctly, cancels his health insurance & fails to send his COBRA forms out to him within 90 days. The child died because he couldn't pay for the needed surgery.

Wells Fargo is at fault, not only for firing the employee when they found out his daughter had cancer but for delaying the COBRA coverage until it was too late.
Too bad, it's a sad story but no one is at fault here.

    The child DID have the surgery, Pat. Tragically, she ended up dying anyway.

    And the company claims he was fired for FALSIFYING time sheets. That's an entirely different thing than "not filling out a time sheet correctly."

    There might be more to the story. I would sell everything I have to save my child and live under a bridge. Remember the media is dishonest and loves to demonize companies. Let the facts come to light before you decide. BTW, I know that doctors will operate in these cases, hospitals will take payments and there are many programs that assist people. I have been there and paid directly to doctors and hospitals for a surgery. The monthly payments were accepted based on my income.

    But you're off-base in implying that she went without the surgery because of the Big Bad Company. Again, she DID have the surgery, at least according to this article:

    Well Jen, I've dug up at least 25 different articles on this besides the two here. The NYDaliynew.com article is the ONLY one that says the child had the operation. NONE of the others stated she did. Further it was MORE than 90 days after the original scheduled surgery before a CHARITY funded a years worth of COBRA insurance for the family. In the interm the cancer had spread and did indeed kill the child.

    Seems to me that the simple lack of due diligence on the part of WF is more than enough to condemn the company for the death of the child.
