I don't think the left is obsessed with race issues. They seem to use it as a double edged sword to serve their purpose, and I've no doubt they'll toss one another under the bus if it serves their cause.
But just maybe, Clinton now knows how tough it is for a woman in her position to serve effectively, when so many in the world, especially those in the Middle East, regard women as less than equal to men.
As for Susan Rice or John Kerry taking over for Clinton? I wouldn't give you two dead flies for any of the three them.
Hillary Clinton must be A Racist, Prefers John Kerry Over Susan Rice To Take Over State Department… Is the Left obsessed with race?

The big question: Who would Secretary of State Hillary Clinton like to get her job?
It ain’t embattled U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice, who is dealing with the way she handled the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya, that led to the killing of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans.
Sneed is told if Hillary had to choose between Rice and U.S. Sen. John Kerry, who is head of the Senate’s Foreign Relations Committee, she would prefer Kerry.
“Hillary is not close to Rice, who is tough — but is not the friendliest person,” said a top White House source. “And Hillary’s brief comment recently that Rice had done ‘a great job’ was considered underwhelming and tepid,” the source added.
“It would be hard for President Obama to back away from Rice, but he’s dealing with what’s known as “the Club of the Senate,” which includes powerful U.S. Sen. John McCain — a Republican — who is adamantly against Rice and a big supporter of Kerry’s.

But they like this man so they are racist.
let me put it this way: would you rather hire a white college graduate for a job or a black high school dropout? obviously if you pick the white person, youre racist, according to this dumbassed logic.
John Kerry joined with Teddy Kennedy, Joe Biden, Chris Dodd, Tom Daschle, Bill Richardson, The Congressional Black Caucus, and the DNC, to persuade Democratic party super-delegates to deny Hillary Clinton the party's nomination.
Susan Rice, a one time assistant secretary of state under Secretary Albright in the Clinton administration, chose race over loyalty and threw her support to Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton.
Hillary Clinton DID NOTt send Susan Rice out to all of those Sunday morning talkj shows. That was the White House doing.
Obviously, longtime senator and former presidential candidate, John Kerry, is much more qualified and able to be SoS than Susan Rice.
Considering the history between John Kerry and Barack Obama, it is safe to assume that John Kerry could have ANY position that he wanted in the Obama administration.
1. Hilary said absolutely not one thing about race.
2. They assume race is involved.
3. The left is obsessed with race?
Exactly.
Anything else, friend?
"Yes."
Most Consevatives seem confused when it comes to racial issues, they normally know two things Bryd and Democrats.. Neither which is reflects the truth...
The South has never been a Liberal/Progressive area...
But this is your question. You injected race into the story. Maybe the question of obsession with race should be turned around to you. Are you obsessed with race?
That being said, I get rather tired of hearing the color of my skin being referred to as a talking point.
It's part of my genetic makeup. Deal with it.
Come to think of it- We could end up with someone even worse at Defense- like Valerie Jarrett
DAMN We are screwed no matter what
