LAAD Gunner - USMC 2012/08/21 00:28:11NAY! [comment as you wish].+8O.O An 18 year old graduating adult used the word hell!? Oh no! What ever shall we do!? I'm sure everyone in attendance was shocked and appalled at such a thing!! I'm sure the audience all gasped in unison and threw tomatoes at her for uttering such a ghastly word!! How dare that ear terrorist say such a thing to an unsuspecting audience!! I'm sure a senior citizen died in the back row from hearing such a horrid word and that six year old children throughout the audience have been traumatized for life! Or something like that....

What kind of Idiots are running those schools ? An apology ? for what ?
The discussion in the msnbc trailing off of the article seems to be going in favor of he young lady just as well.
The petty tyrants in the Prague School District have really stepped in it this time and deserve to be fired.
At 18, she's old enough to vote, drive, get married, and die for her country in the military. So, I think she should be allowed to say a word that isn't banned on TV.
This principal and superintendent are apparently so accustomed to bullying students that they think nothing of still trying to "control" her three months after she has graduated. When I graduated from High School in 1972, I walked across the stage and when I came down the stairs on the other side my diploma was in hand.
When I graduated from college in 2007, I was presented with an empty vinyl binder which I was told to drop in a receptacle and that my graduation certificate would be mailed to me "after" they knew that I'd passed all of my courses and my fees were paid. Funny thing was, I KNEW then that I had passed all of my courses with an overall 3.51 GPA and I KNEW that all of my fees were paid. Why didn't the college know? Were they waiting to see if I would throw off my robe and "streak" across the grounds and would hold it if I, or anyone else had done so? Oh yes, some of you "younger" folks might not know what "streaking" is.
When did High Schools stop putting the diploma in our hand at commencement? Do all schools do this now? Is this one more tool used by the schools to "control" the students after graduation? It sucks. It is wrong. The superintendent "...

This incident took place about three months ago. Why hasn't it been resolved one way or another yet unless it is just the petty tyrants in their school district offices still trying to control this girl even as she is about to start college? I think that the young lady needs to go into the school district office and start asking for her diploma, writing down the name and office of ANY person behind that counter who refuses to hand it over. Having a news station camera team might help. Then she needs to bring a lawsuit against the principal, the superintendent, and anyone else who works in that office behind that counter who refused to bring the diploma to her as requested. That might open some positions in that school district to more competent people.
The principal and superintendent need to be looking for new jobs if she does not have that diploma by close of business on Wednesday. I'd say to "Fire them" if she doesn't.
Since this is taking place in Oklahoma, make it "sooner."
Heidi is bringing a beer for each of us!
Should I order you another beer?
Hier kommt Ingrid!
For goodness sake, she has a 4.0 GPA. She is smart enough to know changing her speech would not go over well.
While I don't have a problem with the word hell, and personally don't think it's an issue.
She knew the rules. She spun and lost. Hope she learned something.
...but give her her diploma.
