Hey libs, read all about Glenn Beck's "failure", lol!

RJ~PWCM~JLA 2012/03/15 18:37:29
Don't you juvenile losers wish you could "fail" like this?!

From the Wall Street Journal:

~~~~~~~~
On Fox News, Mr. Beck averaged 2.2 million daily viewers and was paid $2.5 million a year. GBTV, which jumped on the scene in September, is expected to bring in at least $40 million in revenue this year, supported by advertising and more than 300,000 subscribers paying as much as $9.95 a month for full access to GBTV, according to a person close to the company.
While it is significantly smaller than his audience at Fox News, it’s still more than an established network like CNBC, which drew an average of 189,000 viewers over the course of the total day in February, according to Nielsen.
To turn that revenue into profit, Mr. Beck keeps costs low by using staff and equipment already in place for other parts of Mercury Radio Arts, Mr. Beck’s multimedia mini-empire, which includes best-selling books, a syndicated radio show that draws some 10 million listeners a week, public events, and Blaze, a news and opinion website. As a result, Mr. Beck’s initial investment in the network was paid off in the first two months, according to a person close to the company.
And oh yes - there'll be a special prize for whoever comes up with the most goofy pictures of Beck.
It's just so amusing to watch you clowns use those to cover up your total lack of original thought!
    Glenn Beck is an honest guy. I like him. He's usually right. I hope his audience continues to grow. He's a true patriot with values and really cares about his fellow Americans.
    Glenn Beck is a typical child of Fox... a hystrical pundit who lies, distorts and never lets facts get in the way of "his" truth. BTW: I don't think he left Fox voluntarily, seems they have a few standards afterall, few as it may be.
    He is an honest person. He may make mistakes occasionally as do we all. He does not intentionally mislead anyone. He truly cares about the people and our country. That's why he is always being a crybaby. He REALLY feels that way. I wish him the best. I hope he becomes as big as Rush. Our country needs more patriots like him.
    You don't think he intentionally meant to mislead anyone when he has accused anyone Left of Center for setting up Hitler youth camps. Remember what he said about the horrific Norwegian mass killings? Unconsciensable is the only word that comes to mind. I was incredibly embarrassed to call him a "fellow American".
    You post a CNN clip where they interview a comedian, a hack morning show talk host that works out of his den and a talk magazine rep. That's sounds like CNN is inciting hate against Beck for having an opinion about the news. Nowhere in that video is there a Glenn Beck lie.
    I know they don't think too much of the Far Right or the Evengelical parts of the republican party. I think they're more irreverent to opposite thinking than actual "hate mongering". I may be prejudiced but I happen to believe that that does indeed come from Beck and the grandest mongerer of all Rush Limbaugh.
    When you spew three hours a day, five days a week mis-information, distortions and lies covered in the "hateful, criminal wretched Liberals" and you have millions of listeners who only get their news and believe every golden word, then I would say such a "fuzzball" is indeed not only pathetic but dangerous and divisive as well.
    Rush is a funny guy. NPR has great cultural music and a wide variety of genres musically. Other then that, they have donation drive after donation drive because they refuse corporate sponsors but receive money from the Gov't. It's all stories of unfairness and everybody blaming someone else for their lot in life. I turn the channel back to Rush. Libs take him out of context because they no sense of humor.
    His radio show already existed and made money - drawing as many listeners per week prior to his departure for Fox as now. His income per year on a personal level was - during his final year of employment by Fox -- approximately 30 million, of which the two 2.5 was only a fraction. So I'm not sure that I see the change you are implying.
    I do not care whether Mr. Beck makes money or not. He is an entertainer. It's absolutely fine. I expect him to do well on Talk Radio. I expect him to do reasonably well on the Net. he has a specific niche market (Right wing conspiracy theorists) which he has tapped extremely well. My hat is off to him. He is also capable of being amusing and poking fun at himself, a wonderful skill that I respect and that his colleague Mr. Limbaugh does not share. I even find him credible on some subjects (by no stretch all subjects)
    However. Fox claims to be a News Network. Fox claims to be credible. Fox claims lots of things. Without question Fox IS profitable. We all know its not really "Fair and Balanced" (let me note my conservative colleagues agree with me on this) and that too is fine. However, to give the appearance of at least being reasonable, Fox News needs to at least project a patina of rationality. Mr. Beck, whether I agree with...
However, to give the appearance of at least being reasonable, Fox News needs to at least project a patina of rationality. Mr. Beck, whether I agree with him on some things or not, does NOT project such a patina. Fox also needs to remain profitable. It was not in Fox News' interest to continue the relationship with Mr. Beck. He had lost 50% of his audience in a year - which panicked the Fox executives http://www.politicususa.com/g... .
    Logically, in a Capitalist system, Fox had no choice but to let him go. He was no longer drawing the numbers that he had, and he was giving them credibility problems - a very real issue in their business. So, they canned him.
    For me at least it was never about hurting Glenn Beck, I do not wish Mr. Beck any harm at all - and I have no objection to him making lots of money. I'm not sure what your angle on this is - but if its that those on the Left were viciously trying to harm Beck, from my perspective at least, that's laughable.
    Regards,
    Reyn
