barkbark-247 March 08, 2009 04:50:11

FREEDOMS VOICE!
Dateline, March 6, 2009, Citizens Committee for the right Keep and Bear Arms, The President will seek to reinstate the ban on semi-automatic firearms! This will be done thru his anti-gun Attorney General William Holder thus keeping the anti-gun Presidents hands clean!
The time is NOW to uncase the Battle Standards of Liberty and Freedom! The Time is NOW to sound the drums and fife for the call to of ALL FREE MEN to stand and fight! This is the call to arms!
We fight this fight of liberty using every legal tool granted to us under the Constitution of The United States!
1. Write letters and send them to President Obama and William holder and request a response.
2. Write letters and send faxes to all members of the House of Representatives and the Senate and request a response.
3. Write letters to the Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and head of the Senate Harry Reed and request a response.
4. Join the National Rifle Association or donate anything you can for the struggle.
5. Human Events.com has a site you can use to send faxes to the all the Congressional Representatives for a fee.
6. Contact ALL friends and Relatives and talk about this attack on the American people to anyone.
7. Make signs and show them! NO GUN BAN!!!!!!!
8. Contact ALL MEDIA and make it known that WE the American People will not stand for further abuse of the Constitution and our liberties!
Our next move is to organize PEACEFUL demonstrations all over the country. In every township, city, and if necessary at the very steps of the White House and Congress. This is our RIGHT!
There are Approximately 90 MILLON Gun Owners in the United States. We have a VOICE and we have the power to stop this ASSUALT!
This Move by Obama is the final straw. The American People have been under assault from Jan. 20th. Obama has Spent TRILLONS of taxpayer dollars that do not exist; He has spit in the eyes of trusted allies (Britain, Israel). He has constantly lied to the American People. He has driven down the Stock Market to lows that have broken most retirement plans. He has driven a wedge between the races and is now contemplating granting AMNISTY to MILLONS of ILLEGALS that will further burden the American taxpayer .He is taxing the very idea of success and hard work. Last, he has thrown down the drain the lives of the unborn through ABORTION!
This Country was founded on the premise that life and liberty is sacred.
America’s achievements are not thru giveaways but thru hard work. That responsibility and a strong belief in the Creator and the Constitution will be the guide to America’s success!
We will win this fight! But we must do it together! Send this letter to all, print and pass it out.

    Important Update:
The American people rebelled and threw the Bushites out of power.

A few pockets of angry Bushites still pretend that they are relevant and SPAM every poll they can. They still can't believe they are a tiny minority of Americans, and that TRUE Americans rebelled against their beloved leader.

Most of these pockets of ignorant Bushites are in 'Red' States that are unable to sustain themselves and are accepting the transfer of wealth from 'Blue' States to 'Red' States.

I formerly lived in Ohio, and now I live in a blue state. I've seen first hand the night and day economic difference. Things are still running where I live, we're not untouched by the economic crisis but we are far from being disabled or gutted by this situation.

I attribute this to the common practice that republicans design their economies around retail corporations, manufactures, and corporate agriculture. They tend to neglect and ignore logistics, local sustainability, smaller scale independent farming operations, the service based business sector, and most of all a wide diverse collaboration of income streams for a community. They often choose unwise geographic areas to establish infrastructure, commonly areas with little or few natural resources. Areas without ports, bays, harbors, critical interstate junctions, large lakes, large rivers, sea shore, and areas rich in high demanded resources such as silicon, lithium, minerals, and premium rock and soil.

Corporate America has been auctioning off it's labor to the lowest bidder for decades now, and since American people are now in a deficit for generating wealth, that's bad enough, but we also face individuals who neglect to take charge and make good use of such resources.

The areas in America that still generate the wealth, and still win the bread - are a hundred times better off than the areas that only invested in farming, manufacturing, and inviting big box mart to town.

But the gun control freaks are trying to stop this from happening, and we need to see to it that we can keep these harmless weapons stored in our homes along with grenades and anti tank guided missiles just in case we get a termite infestation that can't be cured by pesticides. Not stand next to someone who tries to use unrelated issues such as abortion or the economy or religion to push a pro gun agenda. I staunchly believe in the right of the people to keep and bear arms, but it is precisely because of conservatives' (and more than a few liberals' for that matter) insistence upon undermining the establishment clause, propping up Israel, and tanking the economy that I feel the right to bear arms is necessary. All authoritarian regimes stem from the kind of religious bigotry, foreign wars, and economic sabotage that my fellow gun supporters all seem to endorse.

This is absolutely too serious to ignore. It is just another smoke screen of what they really intend for us. It does not matter if you are a Democrat, Republican or independent. My apologies for being aggressive to keep you informed but I think it is so important. Look at it this way, there are 300 millions citizens in the USA and under 600 in congress. Certainly we can make our voices heard.

Thanks for making my point. What is fine within families and among friends is not appropriate in a public forum like this. Most people make fun of their family member's idiosyncracies. Friends call one another all sorts of names that would be fighting words to a stranger.

If you really think ethnic slurs are appropriate, you are extremely immature and/or uncouth -- which makes me wonder if you're truly French!

My bad! I didn't realize that Britt was a world-famous comedian and that her remarks were part of a stage performance in which it was clear that she was joking and where making light of ethnic idiosyncracies is intended to underscore the common foibles of humanity. I mistakenly thought she was just an "ordinary Jo" like me discussing world events with a group of strangers on an internet discussion forum in which racial slurs are most often intended to insult rather than uplift other participants.

How fortunate for me that you happened along! I guess I need to watch more cable TV to broaden my mind.

Semi-automatic is simply one that reloads and re-cocks itself on every firing, also known as an auto-loader. A 'regular' gun, if you are referring to a double-action revolver, also re-configures itself to be ready to fire again on subsequent trigger pulls. A single-action revolver requires the additional step of cocking the hammer. Fully automatic is a machine gun. Assault weapons are semi-automatic weapons that can be switched into fully automatic mode.

Generally, the more "automatic" the mechanism is, the less reliable and more prone to jamming it will be. So, revolvers are still popular.

A large percentage of hunting rifles and shotguns are auto-loaders/semi-automatics. As are probably most of the pistols people choose to carry legally with permits or licenses. So, banning semi-automatic firearms is pretty much not happening ever. (Good!) Machine guns.. well, mostly they're for nutty people anyway. For one thing, you can blow the dollar equivalent of a fine steak dinner for two out of the barrel in about 30 seconds. Ammo costs a lot.

Anyway, the beef is about machine guns, as I understand it.

ok, fine. Then I stand corrected.

So, consequently, I stand with the gun-nuts as well on this issue. Do not disarm the common man. Anyway, it can't be done. May as well try to take away all the pickup trucks and non-fuel efficient cars.

I also stand with the conclusion Michael Moore came to with his movie "Columbine". The corporate owned and operated mass-media is largely most responsible. They keep everyone terrified.

Speaking of automobiles, I suspect we will find that the ratio of auto-related deaths and injuries absolutely pales in comparison to those of firearms. Doesn't it.
