Here's food for thought: let's say you give up your american citizenship and then years later reapplied for american citizenship. Could you run for president because technically you were born in the united states but you gave up citizenship and came back.

There are no options to re-acquire US Citizenship after expatriation. Renunciation of U.S. citizenship is final and irrevocable. You lose citizenship for the rest of your lifetime.

There's no coming back. It applies also if your Naturalized and then renounce.

oh yeah you can come back ...since illegal alien means no big deal you can come back and pay no taxes,, still get healthcare, foodstamps (they have no idea your making money under the table...acar a home and a new life!

I read you can renounce it only once. But can regain it. But not a second time.
