So Obamacare passed. Alrighty then. And we are taxing the US 17.6 billion projected for next year. What is the breakdown. Who is getting hired? Who is getting healed, cared for, or treated? I'm sure there are going to be quite a few people who still won't see the doctor next year. So we don't have to spend anything on them. I'd like to know the breakdown of what is going to be done where and why.

The major component of the Affordable Care Act doesn't go into effect until 2014 - the establishment of the insurance exchanges. Some of the provisions have gone into effect -- children can't be denied coverage for pre-existing conditions and they can remain on their parents insurance until the age of 26, free preventative care must be offered by new plans, and there are other provisions as well. Here is a timeline.

26 yr old CHILDREN. That cracks me up! Guess it's because I had moved out years prior and had children of my own by that age. LOL

Starting around October of 2008, the economy changed. It's different than it was when you were that age.

Haha not close to the Senior Citizen age, but you're so right. Jobs were in abundance, gas was pretty cheap, heck EVERYTHING was cheaper, times were much better.

Not everything was cheaper. Home prices in a lot of areas were extremely high. And a lot of people were living on a mountain of debt. The family dog could get a credit card. And credit card companies were allowed to raise the interest rate for any reason. Some people had interest rates of over 30 percent.

Now everyone is cutting back on spending to reduce their debts. I read an article today that said that economists predict that, no matter who wins the presidency, unemployment will stay above 6 percent until, at least, 2016.

I will be waiting patiently for the news about this, too.

Excessive bureaucracy is a convenient way for politicians to launder money.
