Yes, Liberals condemn Israel, read anti-Israeli newspapers, support Israel's enemies, and refer to Judaism as a culture instead of a faith.

President Obama has done more than any Democrat to get Jews to vote Republican. Jews finally recognize the failure of the Democratic Party to support Jewish causes and Zionism.

The left believes that a clever elite can fix all the world’s problems; conservatives accept that human error can lead to disastrous outcomes. Liberals fancy themselves rational in contrast to conservatives’ dour acknowledgment of tradition and tragedy.

Liberal rationality is a pose. Knowledge is existential — that is, we tend to ignore facts that apply to a world in which we will not exist at all. Like the 2008 banking crash, when they tried to warn the industry that a crash was inevitable. Most of them said, in effect, “If what you’re saying is true, then I shouldn’t have a job, so I won’t think about it.” Not long afterwards, most of them didn’t.

The left (and the European left in particular) doesn’t like certain facts because they are dying — literally. The triumph of the secular welfare state in Europe is associated with a catastrophic population decline. Three-fifths of southern Europeans will be elderly pensioners by mid-century. Of course, they’re going to go bankrupt. And Muslim society is fragile, and much of the Muslim world has entered a tailspin from which it won’t recover. The left clings to the magical idea that if only Israel would roll over and die, and validate the illusions of the Muslims, that somehow this horrific future might be avoided. But it won't and it's not the answer.

That would be just one of many things "liberals" are in denial about.

    Other zingers.

    1. LIberals tend to be think of themselves as open minded.
    2. Liberals think they are more considerate than others.
    3. Government is good and private industry is bad.
    4. Liberals think they have a genuine concern about the environment, yet they still drive cars, fly planes, etc.....

Ah, who cares, we've all heard this before.

I've admitted this repeatedly Jean. The difference is that we bomb the ever livin' crap out of them for their misdeeds while we pat ourselves on the back and call ourselves heroes for our own. How is Israel's incursions into Lebanon, or its seizure of the Golan Heights from Syria by military aggression any different than Iraq's occupation of Kuwait? There is little difference, except there is never a mighty coalition assembled to rain death and destruction upon Israel when it acts as the aggressor. The behavior is not tolerated when it is Arabs doing it, but NOTHING Israel does is seen as wrong. it is hypocrisy of the highest order, hypocrisy rooted in racism and religious ideology.

tell me Jean, what nation is in violation of more UN Resolutions than any other? And what nation has never once had the international community take action for their flaunting of said resolutions? I'll give you a hint... its not an Arab nation

Unfortunately the United Nations has become pretty useless. Arab oil money has pretty much purchased the U.N.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon and former High Commissioner for Human Rights Mary Robinson have criticized the council for acting according to political considerations as opposed to human rights. Specifically, Secretaries General Kofi Annan and Ban Ki Moon, the council's president Doru Costea, the European Union, Canada and the United States have accused the council of focusing disproportionately on the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. The United States boycotted the Council during the George W. Bush administration, but reversed its position on it during the Obama administration.

Please remember this all started with the Arabs nations violating Israel in 1948. (well not quite true - Jews were murdered in a lot of riots before that) Also after a near civil war with the PLO - Jordan threw them out - they landed in Lebanon where they continued their war against the Israeli people. If Canadians were shooting our people and had bases in Canada we would also have the right to protect our people/country. Please do not even mention the Golan Heights - the Israeli's made perfect targets from there.

The Arabs don't have to violate the U.N. resolutions - they just have to purchase them.

Arab oil money has purchased the UN, yet the UN authorizes sanctions, military actions, etc against Arab nations yet authorizes nothing against Israel. Don't you see a big flaw in your argument Jean?

You are right, the UN is useless, but not due to corruption by Arab oil money. It is useless because the Security Council ensures that only the interests of the imperial powers are served.

Remember, this all started when Jewish terrorists blew up the King David Hotel in mandate Palestine.

I do agree with you that there is a disproportionate emphasis placed on the Israel\Palestine issue, in terms of lives lost it is but a mere scratch compared to the slaughters that have seen practically no attention at all from the international community.

You are all concerned about Israelis being targets from Golan, that is fine. What rights do you give to the Lebanon to prevent Lebanese civilians from being targets for the IDF? Your logic would find it acceptable to push Israelis far enough away to be out of reach of their air force who bomb civilian areas with cluster bombs and deploy white phosphorus munition, both actions seen as war crimes by the entire world... except Israel and its supporters

The Lebanese civilians are NOT guaranteed anything as long as Lebanon harbors or is unable to dislodge terrorist organizations from within its midst. Israel has gone out of its way NOT to harm civilians that is why the terrorist hide among them. They are used a shields. Arab oil money HAS swayed many votes in the U.N. The only thing that has saved Israel countless times is its close association with the U.S.

Although Israel made extensive use of cluster weapons against Lebanon during the last days of the conflict, this is the first independent confirmation that Hizbullah used the controversial weapons too.

The Arab money is but a drop in the bucket when compared to the wealth of the West. And lets be real here Jean, the largest of the oil producers are run by puppets of the West... Saudia Arabia, Kuwait and the Emirates.... none of those are paying to subvert US\Israeli interests. That is a completely bogus argument you're trying to make.

Paint it any way you wish, the attacking of civilian areas with cluster bombs by the IDF is nothing but a war crime. Plain and simple. And sorry if I don't find evidence gathered by the US-based organisation of cluster weapons used by Hezbollah as credible, but even if this is fact it still does not excuse Israel of its crimes.

look Jean, if it were up to me I would say let them all fight it out for the territory and let the victor have it. But since we have made Israel into a military superpower, looked away while they acquired nuclear weapons I am going to stand with the Palestinians and everyone else who falls victim to their aggressions. At least until somebody arms them to the same degree that the West has armed Israel

Yes it is a slippery slope Jean, and with the oh so familiar rhetoric flying once again it would seem that a new on is in the making as we speak. It doesn't have to be so, but it will take an awakening among the common person to put an end to the cycle and I am not sure if that awakening will ever come.

"Every ambitious would-be empire, clarions it abroad that she is conquering the world to bring it peace, security and freedom, and it is sacrificing her sons only for the most noble and humanitarian purposes. That is a lie; and it is an ancient lie, yet generations still rise and believe it."

There is far more prejudice at Occupy protests than there ever were at Tea Party events.
The liberal media were just waiting for anything to report on the Tea Party being racist and in the absence of that, they made it up at times.
They seem to be going out of there way to hide the hateful racism on full display at Occupy protests.

Why is that?? Do they want to keep the dirty secret away from the public because they are also radical progressives, or are they racists too?

I would agree that Cynthia McKinney is a bad apple and Hillary Clinton is not exactly an angel, either. However, there is nothing to suggest that Wesley Clark said anything anti-Semitic, going out on a limb as to suggest those New York money people is code for "pesky Jews". Puh-leeze. At any rate, McKinney is no longer in public service and Secretary Clinton will not serve another term as secretary if Obama gets re-elected.

So I'm guessing from your last remark that the Jews in this country are stupid for being secularists? It's actually a good thing that they are. Nothing good has come from intertwining politics with religion.
