Gonna have to agree with you on this one, it does sound pretty heartless of those Arizona politicians. Even the conservative friendly sites believe that as well.

Would any of you allow your dentist to fix your toilet? Why are we allowing a bunch of windbag lawyers write healthcare law? Our doctors are in the middle of this. Why don't we ask them?

Single payer works in Europe. It would work here just as well if it were for the immoral for profit system.

In some ways I agree with you. However I also believe that Europeans hold themselves more accountable for their health than we do here. I think that's partially the reason it costs so much less there.

Not just you, I'm talking Americans in general. I mean how many of us as a population actually take care of ourselves? I'm talking holistically in total quality of life; not just eating right and working out.

That too. Most of us never take a vacation or only staycations. I eat well but other than that I barely sleep.

Well, the elimination of the middle class kinda took care of that now didn't it. Don't get me wrong, we are VERY productive people; apparently more productive than the French and even the Germans. However I have to say that all this efficiency comes at a price. Corporate America turned us all into machines who are on the verge who are running low on fuel.

The law gives way too much power (and unlimited power, at that) to a select few. It makes us pay for things we might not believe are right (such as abortion).

And look at the way this bill was pushed through: no one read it. The congressional leadership (all of one party) refused to talk to the leadership of the other party. Now the administration won't even countenance modifying this law.

NO legislation should be forced upon the people in such a way.

Expecting SCOTUS to separate the wheat from the chaff, i.e. re-write the law, would be asking them to do an enormous job that should be done by congress.

The federal government cannot mandate a citizen engage in a particular form of commerce JUST so they can control that commerce. NOT within the governments legal obligation.

The law has had a bad effect on our economy. Businesses can't really plan for the future because no one knows what taxes will be levied next (either from the Feds or from the states).

The feds would like us to hire more (remember, GE president wants us to hire more Americans). But how are businesses supposed to hire anyone with laws like Obamacare?
