first off this is crazy for anything of this nature to be put in a bill.i would suggest that the ones who don't get it when they show up at a doctor's office or hospital they are refused any service.putting them in jail is not solving anything.

It is in the bill from House (fine and jail) - still reading the senate one.

Eventually, they will take everything you have to make you pay for your insurance and then when all you have left is your house, they will take that too.
Then you will go to prison and die before they will give you health care.
Did you see where they gave a mafia Japanese guy a liver transplant over two gentlemen already on the waiting list in the USA. Those gentlemen died without receiving their transplant.
    Money talks.

They will go to jail. I bet the IRS will be on their butt. I wonder sometimes if I live in a free country. If someone doesn't want health insurance they have a right not to.

IRS will go after a larger part of your wages--sorta' like garnishing wages for unpaid debt.

I live in a state that does and I'm happy about it. It will be how I collect on a judgement I won in civil court.

Good, unfortunately who will have to grow your own food, build your own cars, build your own home.....well, damn., everything the government now provides you with. Not working at all may be a way IF this country was a communistic country, but any half-wit knows this isn't even close. Good luck.

Do you have electricity? a car? a home? take medications? wear clothes? drink water? eat food? have a dog that eats untainted food? drive on streets? Do you watch TV? fly in an airplane? Who do you think provides these things and/or makes these safe for you? Government regulates all of these in one way or another. (There are thousands more)

the same that happens to those who dont pay their taxes. the other thing that will happen is they will eventually get sick and milk the system for free as they are doing now. the cost of the new healthcare plan is very minimal to the individual. at 45 years i will be paying approx. $60.00. my health insurance now is 260.00. i am a very healthy 45 year old. what will happens to my premiums when i actually get sick?

all those people that dont want healthcare because they are covered under the insurance that is provided by the company they work for. hope your employers dont get exhausted with the high premiums and tell you ...you are on your own as so many companies are doing...or they are just folding, or getting crap insurance policies to appease the employees...works fine untill you have to use your insurance and find yourself payiong crap loads of hard earned cash from your pockets.

not sure if you are for or against Government Health Care- re-read your comment 3 times. ?
But will say this - IT will RUIN the MIDDLE CLASS. Its NOT FREE- the taxes that will be taken out of your paycheck- will be mind boggling - as someone stated on a
poll yesterday- and I agree with- over the next 10 years prepare yourselves to live on HALF of what you make now. Stock up on supplies and food. before its to late.

lol...sorry. maybe was a bit all over ther place there. i am for it and if they dont spend money on healthcare for all it will be some other crap like wars and stuff like that....im being sarcastic.
as far as that federal fine goes...thats sounds fair to me. you should be penalized for not abiding by the rules that govern all....doesnt matter if you find it a stupid rule, the majority speaks. i dont like wearing my frikn seatbelt but i do.
starting to stock up....sounds exactly like what someone would have said 30 years ago about inflation...we manage.

thanks for replying. But you do realize your TAXES will GO UP with the Health Care Bill- WAY UP. And private insurance companies will within 2-4 years be forced out- JOB LOSES.
Also you take about abiding by the rules and majority speaks- from every poll I have seen- majority DO NOT WANT THE HEALTH CARE BILL.
I for one will speak out against what I do not like- and not just abide by it because- that is how the GOVERNMENT GETS TO BIG.

i can see your arguments....taxes go up all the time...then pay goes up. vicious circle thats a no win for anybody. the health insurance companies going bust??? all those job losses can seek employment with the public option sector. i know for a fact doctors are ripping off patients and filing false claims to insurance companies for bigger gains. the medical field and the insurance companies are maybe going to get whats been coming for a long time. the right wing can argue all they want but its going to come in some fashion one way or another. they had their chance to do something about the healthcare system and they didnt. maybe the new system wont work....but we "know" the old system doesnt work......unless you're a doctor or affiliated with the insurance companies. my taxes go way up??? hmmmm if i pay $260 a month for health insurance and go down to $60 a month. im guessing its still a savings for me in the end. oh and if i ever get sick... i wont be paying out the back side for deductibles year after flppn year.

it is my understanding - originally there was to be a fine of approx $4000. Then compromise was reached that an individual would be fined $750. Think about it- $750 I pay $1200 approx a year in insurance through my employer - so someone young- or just doesn't want it- $750 is a lot cheaper fine- now if don't pay the fine- I do believe there is jail time- but think the waste of time and money of the court and the space in the jails.

THE GOVERNMENT NEEDS STAY OUT OF HEALTH CARE. PERIOD.

Even Obama admitted Government gets in the way.
