This could be a Dem stratedgy to let the vulnerable vote no in hopes of saving their futures.,especially if they have enough votes to pass it without them. Trust no-one in this liberal congress. They have done this before on the stimulus bill.

Please, Pelosi allowed these pussyfied "blue dogs" to vote no, because she alreadt had the votes to pass this monstrosity. It's called CYA. Let's not be fooled by these tactics. Let's get rid of ALL of them come 2010.

You know, one of my favorite things to do when faced with a larger team on the other side of a tug of war is to put as much pull on the rope as possible then just let go and watch them all fall right on their smart little asses. Pelosi is headed for uber-fail.

There are seven now. We need to contact the fencesitters. This bill is too big to allow passage. This needs to go in the lose column along with recent election results under the administration's umbrella.

No “liberal” socialist idea has ever been passed by a ballot referendum. And to put this POS on a ballot would require that Democrats let us read it before passing it ...that is not the way of the Donkey.

Good for those democrats listening to their constituents, that is what they are SUPPOSED to do!

In a comment posted by thegus he said " ... then bail on it because it might hurt their reelection chances. Congress, you are not there to get reelected. You are there to do the people's work." Hellllloooo, it is THE PEOPLE you are working for who are speaking with their votes!

20,000 people showing up on the Capitol steps on virtually no notice ... then to have them walk the halls of their office building chanting "Kill The Bill" may have its effect as well!

BUT ... there is nothing like a resounding win in a vote that clearly should have been handed to the "Blue Staters" to send a message on how we citizens are feeling about the direction of their leadership.

We'll let our vote be known next November!

Frankly, every Democrat, possibly every incumbent, should be targeted for replacement ASAP. They constitute the voice and voting power of precisely the same vested interests that have put the U.S. in this current unenviable and untenable position. We can no longer afford to take them at their word -- they are sensible only when the light of full disclosure falls on them, when we hold their feet to the fire and their votes/actions up to the daylight for public view and review. Fire the ba$tards.
