Depends on what they based the claim of verification. A Certificate of Live Birth only means a child was presented for documentation, and are granted irrespective of the place (city or country) of birth. Hawaii has the means to put an end to it, but has been resisting. A real BC would do the trick, and if the BC states the father was African, not a US citizen, Obama is safer with a COLB that reveals less (potentially damaging) info.
Besides, even Obama's publisher listed him as Kenyan for years and years without a request to correct. That makes Obama and his publisher the original Birthers, eh?

HONOLULU (AP) — The state of Hawaii has verified President Barack Obama's birth records to Arizona's elections chief after a nearly three-month back and forth that Arizona officials said could have ended without the incumbent's name on its November ballot.
Joshua Wisch, special assistant to Hawaii Attorney General David Louie, told The Associated Press in an email late Tuesday that the matter is resolved after Hawaii gave Arizona the verification it was looking for.
Hawaii — which has vouched for Obama's birth in the state several times as early as October 2008 — didn't bow to the request easily. The Aloha State told Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett he had to prove he needed the records as part of normal business.
Wisch says Hawaii got what it needed, so it gave Bennett's office the verification.
It's not immediately clear whether the information will satisfy Bennett. Bennett spokesman Matthew Roberts said the office received the verification and planned to comment Wednesday.
Roberts did not say whether the information would end the flap with Obama's name on the ballot.
Bennett said during a radio interview earlier Tuesday that he had reworded his request to Hawaii and expected to get a response within two days.
The development came the same day Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio defended sending one of his deputies to Hawaii to accompany an official in his volunteer posse that is investigating Obama's birth certificate, despite earlier saying no taxpayer money was being spent on the probe.
At this point I don't even care if he has a valid birth certificate, or if he is LEGALLY an American. He isn't an American at heart, doesn't like America or Americans, is criminally jealous of financial success - and is clueless how it is obtained. Like any thief, he seems to think one gains financial success when he robs the public blind, such as he has done and will continue to do as long as we have to suffer his presence in office. If he gets away with all he is doing, I will never trust the US government again as long as I live because it is harsh only to kind and innocent people, but wears kid gloves when dealing with terrorists, criminals, and other cast-offs of society.
Entire religions have been built on such blind faith.
It makes no difference how many times 'officials' in Hawaii claim they have 'seen' the document and it exists, how many times they claim to have sent a copy to the WH, it matters what's on the damn thing that keeps them from providing the actual paper document.
It would take less than 24 hours to form an independent 6 person team to fly to Hawaii and recover 2 copies of the 'document'.
2 members from the Senate, 2 members from the House of reps, and 2 private citizens who are sworn peace officers.
All 6 would be present at the time both copies were scanned from the original that Hawaii claims to have and brought back to Washington where separate analysis for verification could be performed.
At first glance, it would be obvious if the copies matched what was put on the official WH website and of course, if the information was consistent for him to legally hold the office according to the guidelines set forth in the Constitution.
I'm sure enough taxpayers would gladly donate to a separate fund to cover all costs incurred. We would FINALLY have an answer to why this wasn't done 4 years ago.
There has NEVER been a paper document provided to Congress, which is the body responsible for properly vetting all candidates, BEFORE an Official Certificate Of Nomination (OCON) is generated.
They rule over campaign finance law and have NOTHING to do with the proper vetting of candidates.
That is solely the duty of Congress. Steeeeeeerike TWO.

That info is automatically provided to local newspapers by the DOH and listed along with obituaries in generic form. Notice that all births listed in that same column are worded in similar fashion and not a result of family members posting an announcement.
That was allowed in 1961 because Hawaii had recently become a state and there were many living on the islands who had no formal ID.
Line #29 on the long form is used for this purpose, where the person providing the vital information is listed.
It's also a 'coincidence' that the micro-film roll for inbound flight records to Honolulu the week of Aug. 1 - 8, 1961 are conveniently missing. All rolls for the time before and after are intact, only that one week is unaccounted for.
Oh, well, Just another in a long line of coincidences that is the entirety of obama's life.
